I'm looking forward to this but am worried about Leeds and Leicester

Can't help wondering if we'll turn them into a table-topping side...

    These are shite.

    Let's have a midfield of

    Pogba

    Donny Bruno

Drop bruno back for his work rate and take the defensive load off Pogba

If we cannot rotate a little bit and still beat these, then it is truly a bad situation.

3 or 4 rotation are enough. I don’t want to see big rotation, we need to win. If I’m Chris wilder, just be smart don’t play your main squad and focus on Brighton game :)

this has got banana skin written all over it. wouldnt be suprised if its a rinse and repeat of the west ham / saints games. more importantly can i switch in martial or cavani for kane in my fantasy league team. feel dirty not having 2 utd players in there...

Not worried at all about Leeds, they leak goals left and right. We just have to test their keepers. Leicester, I think if we play like against Everton, it should be fine.

That would be taking underestimation to a new level. At least one of Fred, McTominay and Matic will start, and rightly so.

VDB and Telles to Start, maybe even Axel depending on Lindelofs back.

I expect us to win quite comfortably, even with rotation. Would be nice to get it wrapped up by half time and rest even more.

Hope to see Telles, Axel and VDB

Rest Bruno and a few others. Smash them.

Think that's what should and will happen.

All their home matches have been very close, with only Wolves beating them by more than one goal. City only won 1-0. This isn’t an easy game away from home so I don’t see we can rest many of our star players. That said, I would like to see DVB in for either Fred or McT.

Well they've lost all but one game and scored 5 goals in 12 games, so I expect nothing but an absolute steamroller.

They've been shocking so far this season - so you know they're going to roll up their sleeves and become giant killers for the night. Bastards.

    3-0

If we can’t win this our players are either injured or knackered.

How? They haven't got a fecking clue what they're doing if you watched them against Southampton or West Ham recently. If we are as organised at the back instead of playing silly bollocks we'll win with something to spare.

    McBurnknob is out I think

How do we ever lose against people we should be stomping?

The players will just turn up thinking it's a night off and end up getting sucker punched as per usual. It's the pattern we seem to have recently.

I think they massively miss Jack O'Connell who I rate a lot, he was the real lynch pin of their defence.

I hope we can get the job done easily but i'll never be confident with this wishy washy side unfortunately.

This isn't even a case of them being that unlucky in games, they are just awful this season. This should be treated like Istanbul at OT - play an attacking lineup and impose ourselves on them. No need for a double pivot here please Ole.

If we defeated City, I would have said we would lose this one.
We only drew against City. So anything could happen

Every game is hard game. We just have to look at Fulham - Liverpool. Sheffield current position is 20 but at home, they have been hard to break down. Lost some games but every one of them have been with one goal difference. Rotation yes, but not to many players. I hope we get to see Telles, Matic, van der Beek and Mata from start.

    Henderson
    Williams - Tuanzebe - Maguire - Telles
    Matic - McTominay
    Mata - VdB - James
    Martial

Subs: Bruno - Rashford - Greenwood - all at 60 minutes, goalfest to ensue

    Sheffield United 0 - 4 MUFC

Honestly, though, Sheffield United can neither score goals nor stop them. I do expect a 0-4 scoreline.

quite like this team though its a little on defensive side. We really don't need Matic and McTominay against a team with 1 goal from open play this season

Pogba, Matic and VDB midfield 3 will make us that bit more balanced in attack

Even though I'm not Fred's biggest fan (because he's a midfielder that never scores a goal), I have come to understand just how important he is in our current set up.
A poster pointed out to me that in the 6 games that Fred has missed for us this season, we have conceded an average of 3 goals in each one.

So although he doesn't provide a goal threat for us, he certainly makes a difference in reducing the opposition's goal threat.
Whatever team selection we go with against Sheffield United, I hope at least that Fred is in the starting eleven.

I have no doubt that Sheffield will raise their game against us (who doesn't when Utd come to town?)
Even so, we really should be winning this game based on their current form.

Personally I am of the opinion that we should start with our strongest team, and if and when we are winning, then bring off the likes of Bruno and Rashford...

...I hate it when we try it the other way around, and we have our best players on the bench hoping that there is enough out there on the pitch to get the win. When there isn't we end up bringing our best players on and sometimes it's too late to turn it around i.e. Pogba coming on when we were already 2 goals down away at Leipzig.

Can’t help it mate  Had the same feeling when we faced Istanbul and when Auba ended his scoring drought against us

Yeah really hope we have learnt our lesson from Istanbul about what can happen when you disrespect supposed weak opposition. Doesn't mean it will be easy because they only have one point all season and would be huge mistake to go in thinking that way

Way to field a team as good as Sheffield United's. That line-up easily makes it a 50-50 game as far as I'm concerned.

I don´t think this is the match to rotate much. It will be 5 days since last match, so use this match to build momentum. The loss to Leipzig is still fresh in mind. McTominay has been playing a lot though, and can sit this one out.

    .................... De Gea

    Bissaka - Lindelöf - Maguire - Shaw

    .............Pogba ....... Fred
