    I’d rest Matic for Donny, who can do much more for us in attack than Nemanja can. Expand our lead and then bring on Scotty or whoeverwe have on the bench to close shop.

    Always the case with Matic and Pogba. Energy and controlled possession is exactly what you don't get from them two.

    As usual, we go behind. As usual, after 15 minutes we take over. Controlling the game.

    Nice to see two very fine taken goals and assists.

    We can cut them open like hot knife through butter but need some better movement.

    Henderson did good after that goal. But that was stupid misstake. However it would come sooner or later because Maguire and Lindelof loves to put pressure on our golkeepers by passing it to them in bad positions. Stop that. Stop! Stop! Stop!

    Matic off for VdB thanks. He is so slow he pretty much nullifies all of our attacks. Defensively he's been very poor as well.
     
    I don't really understand why we persist with trying to play out from the back. We're just not good at it. The back 5 don't have the quickness of thought or the confidence to use the space it creates. So often Telles ends up advanced with no marker but our centre backs go square cos they don't trust themselves to find him when the winger comes in field to press. Why play out from the back if you aren't going to exploit the space it creates? We'd be better off pumping it long and forcing Sheff Utd to have thrown ins near their box. They'd find it harder to play through us pressing than us trying to resist their press.

    Despite the self-inflicted wound we have come back well, again. However, you sense that third goal will be needed. Henderson still looks a little flappy. Not confident he can go the whole second half without another incident.

    We do nothing to discourage teams pumping long balls forward. Lindeloff looks like having a nose bleed everytime the long ball comes his way. Easy for teams to bypass midfield and push men forward.
     
    No where near good enough again, we live off great moments in games but can’t control a game to save our lives.

    Henderson’s mistake aside (another give away goal from stupid goal kicks) up to our first we were horrific. Better after that but still not dominating like we should.

    These consistent issues are going to hold this team back from becoming a consistently dominant team.
     
    Lindelof and matic will be the death of me I swear. They make the team feel so unstable.

    I genuinely can’t believe how poor matic has been especially, massively off the pace

    we look ready to concede again. Very unimpressive at the back and at CM. Not protecting the ball and some awful decision making. These players need a rocket up them.
     
    Scrappy game and minor some decent individual moments its been another average team performance.

    Could have been 2-0 down to what is the worst team in the league by a country mile. We might as well just let teams walk the ball into our net at kick off and get it done with in the first minute. Lucky they lost Berge. Will be very disappointing if we don't score at least 2-3 more in the second half now though.

    This. It's not like Matic is providing any defensive contribution whatsoever. He is so done at the top level, it's unreal we keep starting him.

    I wouldn't mind never seeing our back six again - Maguire, Lindelof, Wan Bissaka, Telles, Pogba and Matic are slow, cowardly pile of lazy shite.
     
    Rashford should really have a hatty! Scores the hard chances and misses the easy ones - needs to sort out that composure as it’ll end up costing us.

    Last time I felt remotely comfortable with our defence was Smalling & Blind.
     
    I sometimes get the feeling that Martial doesn't want to pass to Greenwood. Choosing to play a one-two off a teammate crowded instead of finding Mason in space; in the last ten mins Greenwood worked into the centre of the box and Martial only had to slip him in with a square pass, but instead head down and squandered the opportunity.
