    That was so poor, off the chart bad. We’ve been absolutely dominated, looked scared from the start, no composure at all and given the ball away so easily.

    Massively disappointed with Casemiro, hope he rediscovers his form asap, Martial and Sancho are doing very little too.

    We need to start the second half better or I can see us getting thumped by another 3 or 4.
    Well summed up.

    dont really know how to turn this around. rashy on for sancho ok, but who should give them the ball upfront

    Look goal closely. Maguire could have just let the ball go and run/pass to midfielders. Nobody was behind him

    Bruno and Martinez are a big miss tonight.

    Shaw --> Maguire
    Fred --> Eriksen
    Rashford --> Sabitzer please

    You simply cannot keep Sancho on after that half. The guy looks as if he has never kicked a ball in his life. Seems so damn frightened out on that pitch.

    I'm livid. What a horrible performance. Apart from Antony and maybe Lindelof everyone has been shit. Eriksen and Casemiro look like they are 50 years old. No words needed for Maguire and Sancho/Martial ffs.. ETH needs to slap them around at half time.

    Team has lost its head after the shocker by Maguire and DDG. Said it before, our drop off from the first X1 is huge. Replacements for Shaw, Varane, Martinez, Rashford and Bruno are just not good enough.
    Need to take the risk and bring on shaw, Rashford & Fred in the 2nd half.
    Maguire & Lindelof, I lost all hope for them a long time ago. But Sancho really is a nothing footballer. No fight, no bravery on the ball, shies away from Challenges.

    Heard on the radio Seville have not been beaten at home by a non Spanish club in over 10 years! :eek:

    Maguire is their trigger for press. Says all about this "ball playing CB". Shambolic player and a worse captain.

    With Top 4 secure I'd rather win the FA Cup than keep fecking around in this competition anyway, but this is really frustrating to watch.

    I'd have agreed if it was earlier in the competition, but having made it this far and already fecked our season up with injuries and fatigue, we might as well take three more games and potentially equal our biggest accomplishment in a decade. Wouldn't have been bothered if we went out in the group stage. In the quarter final, though, with only that and an FA cup to really play for? It would be a big letdown. Sevilla are crap this year, we should have been safely in the semis already. We should have been able to rest players today.

    I’m not enjoying Ten Hag’s football much recently. That first half was an utter disgrace.

    Antony is a baller though. Very impressed with him recently.

    They want it more than we do, that much is clear. Absolute cowards out there.

    It's shocking to me that when Maguire and Lindelof are in, ETH still allows them to try to get cute at the back with De Gea. How many calamities is it going to take before ETH realizes that we cannot play out from the back if Varane and Martinez aren't in?

    De Gea and Maguire should not be allowed to play the ball short, nothing good happens when they do.

    Given the atmosphere, Sevilla's work-rate, etc, I don't see any outcome other than a loss now. It's really just a question of how many more they get.

    Second half goal flurry from Rashford and Weghorst, incoming. Would love to see Shaw on for Maguire. Sancho has good footwork but he is reluctant to ever put any muscle behind what he's doing. Is Pellistri available?

    Eriksen and Casemiro both dreadful. Worst performances in a United shirt. Thankfully only 1 goal down. Enter Shaw and Rashford.

    Tbh he's done a couple of good things which is more than I can say for most of the team (Antony the big exception)
    Yeah a few decent moments but his lack of desire in tackles, blocks, arial duels is frustrating as feck. It's not the be all and end all but a but of heart can do a lot and unfortunately he's a bit of a wimp when it comes to any sort of duel.

    Best thing about that first 45 is we’re only one goal down! Praying we’re not that bad in the second half.

    He did horrible on that. Blame goes on Maguire and de gea. De Gea should have just cleared it, but once he didn't, Maguire has to do better. You see, I don't have agendas. I call it as it is and don't look for reasons to blame when there isn't any
    Maguire called for the ball and then panicked. DDG was like at Max 10% at fault. Rest all lies wit captain fantastic, as usual.

    Usually don't post in these match threads during the game but I can't resist.

    That. Was. Fecking. Shocking.

    At this level, quite frankly, I find it embarrassing that a team of Utd's stature cannot compete with midtable Spanish clubs putting a bit of effort in. And let's not kid ourselves that this is a recent phenomena, we have been a joke in the latter stages of European competitions for years.

    Football heritage, indeed.

    Shaw for Maguire is really needed, even putting aside the defensive issues, the latter takes all the sting out of our game when trying to play out from the back, by the time he’s passed the ball around with Lindelof, the opponent is already in shape.

    Shaw and Rashford need to come on, maybe Fred for Eriksen as he is letting players run off him easily.

    Maguire, DDG and Sancho have been crap.

    Sevilla are an awfully poor team and I am so disappointed that United have put themselves in this situation:

    - ETH's stupid substitutions in the first game that gave them 2 goals.

    - Malacia`s unfortunate own goal.

    - De Gea's lack of reaction to Malacia`s own goal.

    - Maguire's unfortunate own goal.

    - Martinez is injured, so we have to play with 10 men.

    - United who stopped playing in the second half at OT.

    - Bruno's yellow card, which means quarantine today.

    - De Gea's idiotic pass to Maguire.

    - Maguire's poor action, where he should have just kicked the ball away.

    - United who can't play the ball forward at all in the first half today.

    - So many players playing without really trying (or so it seems).

    If we go out today, it is 100% down to personal mistakes.

    Lucky to be still in the game. DdG shouldn’t have passed that ball to Maguire for their goal.
    The whole team needs to wake up. Only Antony , Sabitzer & Eriksen doing enough.

    Anyone should just kick up the ball into the stands if they look up and see Maguire, but what the feck, at this level you must expect more
