This will be tough game, they are good possession team, we should be clinical on counters.

Next 2 games are CL quality team, Sevilla, Inter are good teams. So it will be a good test.

Got a feeling Rashford isn't 100% so I think we may see James start this one. Expect Matic & Lindelof to return to the starting line-up as well, but not de Gea.

Why’s everyone so bloody frightened of Seville? They’re hardly prime Barcelona- wow they’ve got a Liverpool reject Suso! So what? We’ll smash them!

Because they have loads of experience at this level. Miles ahead of us in terms of experience.

Jesus reading the first pages of this thread you'd think we were the underdogs

Tbf we needed extra time and a penalty to beat a team nowhere near as good as Sevilla just 2 days ago so I can see why people are apprehensive.

We haven't played that well now for 7 games on the bounce either. Still managed to get results but it's been hard work most of the time.

I think they’ve already decided they will play 5 at the back. The Bailly Lindelof sub was probably pre planned.

Hilarious isn't it. Good opposition and should be respected but they play a style similar to much better sides that we've beaten like Man City x 3 this season.

I'd be more worried playing Wolves because of the style they play.

Bring it on! Ole wanted this match as Molde lost to Sevilla when he managed Molde, and obviously we have the 'Heritage' match.

But it's the better matchup anyway you look at it. Very good challenge, two good teams...so it'll be a tight match as it should be because it's a one-off semi-final.

    "The Heritage Match "

This is a very exciting test for us against an in form, strong side, I do worry because I think our game management and ball retention isn’t great, and I think these kinds of games we will have to have strong possession.

Looking forward to it, and would love United to prove the haters wrong and get themselves to the final.

Why not? Can you put your view across like the fans like me doubt we can on present form. Like I've said on the form we played just coming out of lockdown we can win the whole thing. What have you seen in the last two games that others don't see?
Well it’s silly to say you can’t see us winning at all considering:
1- We have a better team with better players
2- we are on flying form, despite what everyone said on Monday we played well and could easily have won by 5 goals to 0 no one would have said anything negative if that happened.
3: We are bookies favourites, not just for this match but for the whole tournament.
4- We have a great big game record.
5- Martial is in the form of his career, don’t fancy many teams stopping him.

Look we are capable of losing, Sevilla are a good team no doubt, but come on we should be optimistic. We are playing well, on a fantastic run of form and we do have more quality players.

Decent side, unbeaten in 19 and finished the league on the same points as Atletico. They really like this competition, too.

Wasnt all that impressed by the game last night, but they can definately cause us some problems.

They will be defensivly compact and try to hit us on the break. If our front 3 step up their game which they should in a semi-final, I think we can outscore them.

Team selection gives itself, think DDG will start over Romero.

Looking alot more forward to this than the Copenhagen game, and I think our boys will be alot more sharpened since we are not "supposed" to win.

I don't agree that we have a better team with better players. They have full backs who are actually capable of being an attacking force as well as being defenders. They apply pressure from the front. As much as we have enjoyed Martial, Greenwood and Rashford (at times), they do not chase and harry the opposition in some demented way to get the ball back. This is what City did to Real Madrid for example. It is what Sevilla were doing to Wolves all night. We have the same issue with Pogba and Matic, both great players but they do not apply constant pressure to opposition players.
We cannot always rely on Martial or Bruno or Greenwood to pull off a piece of magic. I don't believe that is sustainable.
I would be much more confident against Inter Milan, but this Sevilla team is a very good team.

You would seriously swap their players for ours? Forget the system I’m talking bout pure ability and quality, our players are miles better in most positions.

    The 'Eritage Derby...

We'll raise our game for this. They should have lost against Wolves if VAR hadn't buggered up

I'd take 80% Rashford over James every time

Thankfully no Wolves this time. Have we already played them 5 times already this season?

I have a bad feeling we will be outplayed ball possession wise. But hey! Good test for the first 11 going into the CL next season as there will be much tougher opponents there.

Looking forward to this game. Thank God for Ole and no more Jose.

Why's it silly to say we can't win it? All m saying is on present form we will struggle. You state we're in flying form? Christ what matches are you watching?

Copenhagen a championship side and that's about it. We were very leggy after 60 mins and yes the weather didn't help but our team on last couple of performances have been very tired legs, if you can't see that then sorry i can't help you.

Copenhagen were exceptional poor and could of even scored a goal or two even though none on target. However, come Sunday like you I'll be supporting them, maybe not as optimistic as you but my heart will be in the right place. Hopefully we can produce a performance like we did when we first came out of lockdown rather than the last couple of games where we have been poor.

I would keep 4 of our players. Martial, Greenwood, Bruno, Maguire. I love Pogba but I think he should also play where we are currently playing Bruno.

    Strongest XI on Sunday.

The only player that should rightfully play from the usual main team is Romero, he's done nothing wrong and if I'm honest I trust him more than I do De Gea at this time. Sevilla will be a really tough fixture, I expect them to put in a proper shift and they are always technically brilliant. The crazy thing about Sevilla is you always only know maybe one or two players, they seem to be a conveyor belt of talent.

So which of the current Sevilla players would get into our side? Jose according to his words would love to trade a few but i'm damn sure Ole wouldn't

Twice in the league (both draws) and twice in the FA Cup (draw then a win in the replay). Season before we faced them 3 times (1 draw, 2 losses), so that's 7 times in two seasons! All the games were god awful too.

Imagine if there were two legs and we got them again

And they were all such a bore and tough to watch games.

Football is weird, Wolves is a tough game for us, meanwhile they fold so easily to Chelsea. And then we give a spanking to Chelsea in recent times (aside from the FA cup semi-final loss). Hah!

Plus, Maguire, Lindelöf, Matic. Possibly AWB too! As I’ve said that doesn’t mean we will win but we are big favourites and are players are mostly superior.

Dont think we mind not having the possession as long as Pogba/Fernandes can ping some balls forward to our front three on the counter.

But they will be very careful going forward i'd reckon.

Sevilla have some speedy players, and they play good attacking football. Concentration for the FULL game is needed by everyone. I think this could be decided by a single goal.
