What would the CAF say about Ole, if he starts Pogba and he plays like shit and we lose?
I mean, he's not an idiot so he won't start him. Pogba should either issue a statement apologising (not going to happen) or never wear the jersey again. If he was a great player we'd probably suck it up and have to play him to get results but we're better without him.

Sadly, I hope to never see Pogba play again

Shaw would be great for back 3, but not sure if we could risk him right away in such an important game.

    DDG
    Victor Harry Tuanzabe
    AWB Telles
    McT VdB
    Bruno
    Greenwood Rashford

Why do you guys love McT so much? He offers nothing. I’d rather see Matic & Donny. Even Pogba with one foot out the door is a better bet.

He's an academy graduate, he runs a lot, he works hard. That's it.

In a game like today, we might be forced to play him or get overrun in midfield. We sacrifice possession and control with him but well, that's life.

I think the only question is whether we'll play Matic or VDB. It will be 5-3-2 with Rashford and Greenwood upfront. Just hope Ole doen't decide to go even more defensively and leave only Bruno to help Rash

McSauce is life. Life is McSauce.
    McMilkshake. Vanilla Milkshake.

If he starts I’ll be rooting for him but I just don’t see it. I never have. I’m sure he offers something because there’s too many people who rate him for him to not, but whatever it is, other than workrate I’m just not seeing. I just get the feeling that if he wasn’t British we would have sold him by now.

Seems to be a decent leader & have a great mentality, but for me his technical ability is way below what I expect from a United centre mid. He’ll make a great Burnley captain one day.

Yeah that’s what I see in him too. For me he’s level below what we need technically & creatively in midfield. Maybe he’ll be useful today, I don’t know, but I don’t want to see him starting going forward.

With that being said I hope he has a great game tonight & leaves me with egg on my face.

Is there anything in the rules against forming a shield around the ball with all 10 outfield players and just stand there for 2x 45minutes?

Dunno, but if Nagelsman wears that same outfit again, I hope we beat them 6-0 this time for the repeat offense.

Imagine starting Pogba and he makes a serious mistake in the match. I'll pre-empt any goodwill towards him right now, if he were to bag a MOTM hat trick sending us through, that would still leave him millions of miles short of vindication.

I just hope we field both VDB and McTominay, leave Matic on the bench. A back five in all likelihood means zero width, so I think I'd prefer Mata on the right with Greenwood up top and Rashford off the left.

He's only used because he offers aggression that we need in tough games. He'd hardly be considered (asides cup games and injuries) if we had a DM

Harsh words there, but undercut with an element of truth.

He's a great squad option to have, and has proven this multiple times. He did a great job on Neymar last week up until the Fred sending off and was an integral part of out midfield when Fernandes first arrived.

I don't think he's a world-beater or going to be our first choice midfielder, but he always puts in the effort, will sacrifice himself for the team and kick up very little fuss along the way. Compared to the better, technical players we've had in the team but failed for numerous other reasons, I know who I'd rather have around!

Yeah expect to see him phased out when Ole finally realises he needs a proper Matic replacement rather than playing two just to protect our CB's

Beginning to feel that tension in my stomach that only ever happens before a massive game .... 2.5 hours to go!

PSA Mino Rioala is a fat parasitic worm.

Anyway. Not feeling confident about the game at all. If we lose this it'll be such a fecking disaster.

    I actually feel sick.

Wish we got a point against Istanbul away.
A point wouldn't really have changed anything: even with 10 points on the board, we'd still go out if we lost this game. Unless of course PSG lose at home to Istanbul but come on now.

Eh, it won't be a disaster, really. It's just par for the course, perfectly fitting for this era of the club's history. Business as usual. It's just a bit disappointing because after the first two games we really believed we could go through.

I fully expect us to lose. We couldn't handle the pressure last week and it's only going to be worse tonight. Hard to see Leipzig being as toothless as they were at Old Trafford.

Pogba and his agent have really put a dent in tonight's match. All the positivity from the weekend has gone.

I reckon we should have the midfielders sit on top of the shoulders of our defenders, while lined up across the goal line and block the entire goal for the full 90 minutes.

I hope we can win without that fecking idiot. Get through City, and then drop that feckhead until Juve comes gets him to play in their little pub league.
