Yes, those two moments did occur. But everything else has been pretty horrid. And we've really struggled at times defensively. Lots of very sloppy passing, slow build up. Yes, it's been really poor.Fellaini coming on? Have a bad feeling it'll be for di maria or mata and not change the formation. Quickly getting pissed off at the guy for his constant fecking about and refusal to just do the obvious thing, just wants to be too clever.Said it plenty of times, we won't get top 4 with 3-5-2, we've regressed as the season has gone on. The players should know the system by now, the play should be clicking and we look absolutely dire, we lack serious ideas.

Maybe, but it should be a hell of a lot better and that is down to the manager.I'm struggling to understand why LVG is so determined to shoehorn players into his preferred formation instead of adapting the formation to the players he has got.
Di Maria is looking like a schoolboy, simply because he is in the wrong position.
When we see this in a matter of minutes on gameday, what is SO different for LVG who should see this every day in training?
The football has still been depressingly slow paced. Many sloppy touches, poor passing and so on. Only one real chance as well.

are you serious?Di Maria on top and Jones on corners just seems bizarre to me and Mata is woeful in defence, but I still think we'll snag the points. The Rooney-Barton situation was also a clear penalty.
If history is to be taken as any indication there's no chance he puts aside his pride and will probably get fired come end of the season.
After the dross we have seen in the last month , i'm not really sure it would be the worst decision.

It's true!Di Maria looks so soft and he can't beat the two statues QPR have at the back to a ball, we would collapse if he played next to Carrick in the midfield with Mata ahead of them in this 3-5-2. Rooney's been chosen to play there in order to add some physical presence in our midfield...
... But he's not playing well and the fact that QPR are winning all the challenges everywhere on the pitch and they are forcing us deeper on the pitch is making him unable to move in more advanced positions where we all know he can deliver goals and assists.
All this time we've been thinking about the risks of getting exposed and our opponents are starting to read our weaknesses well. Imo we should take some reasonable risks. Take off Evans, add Fellaini for aggression and physicality in the central areas, swap Rooney's and Di Maria's positions and play the diamond.No half-time wank today. I just couldn't be arsed.
