This formation is just rubbish. 29 passes right on the edge of their area and all they needed was one to almost pick us apart.

Pathetic. The formation needs to change or LVG needs to go. We have the players to comfortably win against qpr. We are just making it hard on ourselves with this 3 at the back horseshit.

The thing with 3-5-2 is that when the midfielders get the ball, there's often 7 if not 8 players behind the ball. The wingbacks are so deep that by the time the ball has gone forwards our strikers have no options out wide. It's no wonder 90% of the time we pass it backwards and seem to lose ball possession an inordinate amount of times.

What makes it more confusing and frustrating is that we started the season playing 352 and looked shit, then we changed to 422 diamond and looked a lot better but now for some reason LVG keeps playing 352 again. He's up with Moyes with how bad it is.

He used it once, i think. Outside of the world cup preparation.
And you have to take into account that Feyenoord play with a back 3, Vlaar, Kongolo, Martins Indi, De Vrij and Janmaat are used to it.
He almost exclusively played in 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1
