    To put it this way: I felt the impact of the tackle through the TV screen. It was a disgusting hit.
     
    I just rewinded it and saw his leg snap in the replay, my god! :(

    Neville, Valencia and now Shaw with a broken leg in UCL matches. Sad as he was doing so fecking well this season :(

    People are saying ankle but it looked broke higher up as well to me. Anyone else notice?

    I hope he comes back good. We've seen too many players with leg breaks who never come back to what they once were.
     
    Just our fecking luck that a guy with so much potential gets a fecking shitty injury like this. Devastated for Shaw at the moment because it really does look serious considering the amount of attention and time he's received.
     
    Last time I watched us play in Eindhoven, some fecker stamped on the side of Denis Irwin's leg, about half way up. He got away with it and it could have been a leg breaker.

    Crazy that it's our left back again, on the end of an awful injury at the same stadium.

    I hope it does mess with him. It was a disgraceful challenge.
     
    Just turned over from the City match and saw what happened. Genuinely sorry for him, rival player or not. Hope he recovers quickly and can find his form again, because things like that... Sigh.

    Valencia came back and was brilliant towards the end of 2011. He just got found out.
     
    So sad. Damn it. Was amazing this season and he gets a serious injury by the looks of it. Really feel bad for him. Ffs :(
     
    I'm guessing those asking if 'it's that bad' aren't watching on BT sport because they showed the slow mo replay of the double fracture with his leg dangling at the break.

    If you saw it on a crap stream you probably didn't see that clearly.

    I hope the medical treatment in Holland is top class.
     
    Ya, I saw another replay now. It's 100% broken. As he was rolling after the contact his foot was uh, pointing the wrong way and flopping around :(

    Feel so sorry for him, how unlucky can you get. Plus that should be a red card and a penalty, he just took him clean out and broke his leg in the process.

    Reaction of the PSV player said it all. He must have felt something go on impact. He's reacted similarly to Broadfoot when Valencia's shin gave way. And the fact they're not showing the replay.

    Shaw just can't catch a break. Our best outfield player so far.
     
    Honestly I give up in terms of injuries with us.
