Dalot on the bench is bizarre.thought Dalot should have started, but otherwise good team under the circumstances. Back three makes sense with that midfield.

Would have preferred to see Young as one of the back 3 with Dalot coming into the side. But I think this is the only formation that makes any sense given our options.

Hopefully we're in the game atleast before the second half,though I think that maybe asking for a fair amount.Not suprised at the formation as it was the most logical choice, although like everyone else I though Dalot would be in. It was Smalling I thought might make way, with Shaw moved to centre half because of his comfortability coming wide, and his pace to match Mbeppe ( or match him aswel as can be possible)Definitely think Dalot is being held back as an impact sub. Let the experienced player soak up the early pressure and then hopefully we can throw Dalot on to inject some dynamism into the attack if the result is possible in the second half.
If Mourinho had 10 senior players out he would probably be given some slack. Young for Dalot is the only downer in that selection.I kind of hope we dont see the youngsters except for a few token minutes. That would mean we are well in the tie. E.g. if we sre 1-0 up with 25 to go, not sure who Ole would take off the bench. With 10 to go fair enoungh throw on Greenwood and Chong.
