We’ll probably let you have the ball, defend deep and hit on the break - the one thing we do have is pace up front.
This will be crucial as they’ll fancy themselves against Maguire and possibly Lindelof.

Weird how he makes the team today — do we have an injury issue with one of the fullbacks? Dalot, AWB, and Malacia were all fit last we heard?

Bloody hell. Spurs lost to Bournemouth? Win today and 4th place is almost a certainty.
Brighton are a bigger threat to top 4 than Spurs are.

A win today is important but our next 3 league games after Forest are Spurs, Villa and Brighton. If we can navigate those we'll be fine. It's a bit annoying we've got all of them in succession as we're also going to have important cup matches dotted around those fixtures. It's a big month coming up!

I’d imagine it’s just to have an additional defender on the bench as we’ve lost Martinez and Varane from the squad since the last match.

It amuses me how people are stressing out so much about having a 100 million pound plus defensive pairing playing. Weren’t Maguire and Lindelof the pairing that got us to second place a few seasons ago? Yea Varane and Martinez are a significant upgrade but Maguire and Lindelof should be more than capable against the majority of the leagues teams!

People keep bringing this up while ignoring the more recent, telling evidence of last season being the club's worst ever season in the Premier League.

And yet we've conceded just 3 less goals after 29 games.

No excuses here, looking like Forest have injuries themselves. Must win with 4 harder games coming up in the league.

Any chance of Ole on the bench, either for a cheeky 4 goal cameo or a dramatic last gasp winner??

I would rather see players like Bruno, Sabitzer or Sancho as false 9s ahead of Weghorst there.

    Ya if it was me

    I'd run out

    -------------Casemiro
    -----------Bruno--Fred
    ---------------Sabitzer
    Antony--------------------Sancho

I mean Sabitzer showed he's got more goal scoring in him than Weghorst

13 clean sheets in 29 matches this season. (t-1st)

    21/22- 8 clean sheets (38 matches)
    20/21- 13 clean sheets
    19/20- 13 clean sheets
    18/19- 7 clean sheets
    17/18- 19 clean sheets

Outside of a few loopsided bad games it's our best season defensively since 17/18 and we 100% would have had more clean sheets going forward if Martinez and Varane weren't out.

Sure but as I wrote in the ETH topic:

"And as fas as injuries are concerned Brighton are is the same dire position as United right now losing Veltman and Ferguson yesterday and already missing Lallana, Sarmiento and Lamptey."

Laughing, cause some of us have us losing today.

Cmon, are you crybabies or football fans? Man up and support your team.

Maybe, but I'd probably still fancy them ahead of Spurs even with that being the case. The fact Spurs can throw in a result like they did yesterday at home to Bournemouth shows how wishy washy they are. Same with the fact they blew leads against Southampton and Everton in spectacular fashion.

Ultimately it would take a pretty colossal collapse from us to fall out of the top 4. It's only the fact that we have so many injuries and still plenty of games to come which means it's not secure.

True that. Well, as you said big month coming up.

    0-4

Maguire and Lindelof 2 own goals each
    Casemiro red card
    Martial crocked
    Numerous refereeing mistakes against us

Do we think Shaw as CB again like we’ve seen Eric do before with Malacia at LB? Or Lidnelof in that CB partnership with Maguire (Malacia at LB)?

Make this a practice day for Sevilla return leg.

So, Bruno not in the middle.

Make the 3 mids blend in.
    Casemiro - Eriksen - Fred

Get at least 60' from them. Make them gel.
    We're gonna need that.

Give Bruno a rest or last 30' , even though he won't play in 3 days.

No Sabitzer? He’s in decent form

    Fred over Sabitzer?

Forest haven't even won in over 2 months. Can't see us losing. Draw at worst.

Probably explains the rumours of the young full back on the bench.

Just the fact the other results went so well for us makes me lean towards us finding a way to lose this.

Really need some of the players to step up and this is ideal opportunity for them.

For years we've seen inferior teams get results against us due to us having a shit midfield. Our attack and defense may be depleted, but this is by far the strongest we've been in terms of midfield options. It's up to those playing in the middle to make sure we win this match. I'd play Casemiro-Eriksen-Sabitzer with Bruno on the left but EtH will likely go with the same setup as Sevilla.

    Reckon we see:

    DDG

    AWB
    Maguire
    Lindelof
    Malacia

    Casemiro
    Eriksen

    Antony
    Bruno
    Sancho

    Workhorse

Forest have the joint lowest goals scored, joint 3rd most goals conceded and are 2nd bottom when looking at the form table for the last 10 games.

People are stressing as we are without Martinez and Varane but we should be beating Forest without them. It’s not as if we’re having 2 inexperienced reserve players in defence now.

What we’ve lost defensively hopefully will be made up with the return of a couple of midfielders, Eriksen and Casemiro.

Rashford or no Rashford, this should be a win.

I agree with all that tbh. But I just have this nagging feeling about us. Still, we created enough chances in the last 3 games to win each twice over...just feel like we will make a meal of this
