It may be just Northampton but again it proves that instead of dropping off and sitting deep if and when we want to play football we can play some decent stuff.
There is no reason why Carrick can't play against smaller teams at OT and everyone knows what a difference his presence in the middle of the pitch makes especially controlling and dictating the game.
Good strike from Carrick although Northampton may have been a bit hard done by that call. Didn't look like a back pass to me.
