Nobody is saying Hojlund is blameless. For every chance that he doesn't get because of his own inconsistent touch or movement, he also gets about double that amount missed due to his team mates. At the very least his intention is progressive, he's trying to play the ball back to his teammates, he's trying to make a run, he's trying to hold the ball up. Whereas Antony, Garnacho and Bruno are mostly (not all) trying to get their own or not really looking for him.

Edit: look at the goal he scored. Like his previous others, it came about because of some loose play. He's feeding on scraps.
