We have McFred in midfield and play Sunday afternoon, Wednesday evening and Saturday morning. Thankfully two home games.

McFred will be fresh. Why are they running on fumes?

At the end of this upcoming run of games we might be knackered but going into the Newcastle game there's no reason for a lack of energy.

More of a must not lose.

I actually think even getting beat wouldn't be doooooooom as the people chasing us for 4th are all shit. But it would put pressure on the home games.

7 points this week would be great. 6 is 'ok'.

Might be 22 points behind Arsenal by the time we play this game.

Such a complicated game. Let's see how it goes

McFred and or Sabitzer cannot dominate the midfield at Newcastle. We didnt impress against Fulham. We will have to depend on individual brilliance from Bruno and Rashford.

It might not be a must win but it is certainly is a must not lose game imo

I expect a squeezy bum time with players having a post international level hungover

It will be a tough game as if Newcastle win this game they are back on same level as us and if Spurs win they go ahead.

So I would say more a not to lose game. But if we win this game we push the 5th position at 6 points which is very good.

    Wan Bissaka--------Varane(Maguire)---------Lisandro----------------------------Shaw

Feckin hell. So could be 5th after weekend!

Missing our two best midfielders and probably Rashford will have an impact. Garnacho being injured as well, there's not a lot of goals in the team that will start. Hoping for an ugly smash and grab 0-1.

I can see us dropping points here. How I will feel about that on Monday will depend entirely on the result of the City - Liverpool match. If Liverpool gets a result, then I think I could live with Newcastle picking up some points against us. I think we'll still get top 4 regardless - Spurs will never hold on, they have a much harder run in and still have us, Newcastle and Liverpool to play. It should be us and Newcastle taking the last 2 spots. There are more winnable games to come. Despite our other commitments, on paper, we have an easier run in than both Newcastle and Spurs, and we don't want Liverpool in the top 4.

Has there been any update on Rashford? If he's out, our options are pretty threadbare.

Missing Casemiro, Rashford, Garnacho, Martial (obviously) - any others?

No updates but no sight of him training with the team yesterday and seemed to do some individual stuff earlier in the week, so I would be surprised if he plays on Sunday. Hope I'm wrong obviously.

Probably too early for Eriksen, Varane missed the Fulham game due to some type of injury. Sabitzer got injured in the first Austria game and sat on the bench for the second so we'll see how he is.

    Are we still chasing Arsenal?
Shows how much of a month March has been in the league.

By Sunday we might be number 5 albeit with games in hand on spurs but tied on games with Newcastle..

We can't be 5th on Sunday - Spurs don't play until Monday, and when they do we'll have 2 games in hand.

Thought spurs play before us on Sunday. Fair enough.

Games in hands are not wins, so things can unravel very quickly.

We need to get something on Sunday and when we go away to Spurs, with that we will secure top 4 comfortably.

Would bite your hand off for a draw. Hopefully the players don't have the same mentality though.

Extremely tough match, I would happy to take a draw, there is higher chance that Martial injure again than we win this one.

    DDG
    AWB Varane Licha Shaw
    McT Fred
    Antony Bruno Rashford
    Wout

Not sure Sab and Martial be fit to start, anyway we cannot lose this one.

I’d like to see a Mctominay and sabitzer midfield. Both offer different threats going forward.

Games in hand aren't wins, correct, but that poster is trying to be optimistic. Try it some time.

Absolutely disgusting to see people begging for a draw against this shite house time wasting bang average team.

Maybe the first time in the PL we've gone into a game against Newcastle as underdogs with the bookies.

Any evidence whatsoever that Martial might get all his ducks in a row for the 10 week mini league to the end of the season?
