2-3 bad games? He's been abysmal every time he's been on the pitch since the Euros.

I don't for the record think Telles is great, but the full backs are being restricted at the minute for some weird reason in general. They're not pushing up as much and providing the width that we started with against Palace.
    I really don’t care.

Shaw has been our best player for 2 years. He had a small stumble and now he’s out of the team while the rest of the clowns play every week.

Telles isn’t good enough. He isn’t fit enough, he’s not fast he’s not quick and he’s brainless.

how many chances did they get down our right side this time? it’s pathetic

No I dont. I see managers who walked in with a rocky start like Klopp and I see managers with a quick impact like Conte.

Its not a case of one way. People are so fickle, it wasn't even a year ago when Tuchel lost 5-2 to West Bromwich Albion in the league.

It's not fickle, both Tuchel and Klopp have proven themselves with other teams. RR is playing a formation that's making us look a lot worse. He's a DoF and nothing more than that now I'm afraid, we barely even make chances.

Ralf has to do something. A lot of poor performances which are on the players, but the system just isn't working, you cant be a manager and not be able to tweak your system to suit your players unless you're at a club that will just buy whoever you want.

System? This was like the second Villarreal game, a bunch of overpumped headless chickens chasing around like crazy. Well, except Maguire, who still takes 5 seconds to decide to pass it backwards.

As a disinterested observer, I was struck by how ponderous Man Utd were when moving the ball - good possession but slow and so pretty much unthreatening - your team is too old

Rubbish Rubbish. This was hopeless, OK 16 days without a game maybe showed, who's fault is it? Poor passing poor defending no cohesion no continuity nothing to say there is improvement. What can anyone do with these guys. Is it coaching is confidence or are these guys just not coachable? Long 6 mths Ralph, welcome to the most scrutinised club in the world, and show us how good you are.

Conte would not have played this stupid 4-1-5 or whatever this mess is.

Again. We have been shite no matter the formation for the better part of 6 years now because the attitude of our overpaid prima donnas sucks big time. I absolutely don't think there is any manager who can fix this team right now as long as we have a culture at the club where players just switch off or moan after losing a ball.

And yes I even agree, Conte would probably have been the better choice because these players need a manager who makes them shit their pants if they don't perform and Conte would have been the only one who had that flair about him, making his players think he would literally murder them if they don't work their ass off on the field.

But it is what it is, we have Rangnick now, will miss out on ten Hag next summer because he is waiting for the City job and hire Rodgers instead and the entire shite we have been seeing for so long will continue for another season.

I'm getting to negative again, so I'll just leave it at that. Need a good run now to fecking cool off. Fecking hell.

Utterly clueless, no one wants to take the initiative - all too happy to pass sideways and hope someone else does something. WE ARE NOT GETTING TOP 4 (which isn’t a big achievement btw)

My thoughts exactly, we were as bad as we ever were under Ole tonight, but the new shiny manager gets the benefit of the doubt - understandable, and I'm sure this isn't how he wants us to play, but our new manager bounce lasted for half an hour, pretty worrying.

We were worse. Last 3 meetings under Ole, we were 3-0, with a combined score of 10-3.

when one of our players has the ball we have 9 statues either in front, at the side or behind the player with the ball, no movement, no wanting the ball. Footballs easy, pass & move, pass & move...we can't pass and we don't move. Varane was like a shaky 60 year old out there today. This team needs sorting, quick style or we'll be blown away for 4th, 5th or even 6th place. Another poor display, you can't say we were rusty, we're just a shambles.
C'mon United, get a grip and play for the badge and the millions of supporters out here.

Thats fine but you cant inaccurately talk about impact of other managers and not give this one a chance. It was always going to be rocky.

If they've lost this much match fitness in two weeks, we've got to worry.

They've all look like they've had 8 month long ACL injuries.
You do realise what match fitness means right?

We’ll be out of the FA cup at the first hurdle if we carry on like this. Decent v Palace and very lucky against Norwich and Fecking Newcastle whilst being easily battered by the best teams in the league. Atletico will be relishing this CL tie…playing Bayern or us is like fighting prime Mike Tyson or fighting 2022 Derek Chisora.

Yup. And I'm saying they've missed 2 weeks. That's not a lot of matches to lose this amount of fitness.
    Yes it is.
Especially with no training ground open and minimal players training at capacity.

    What does that mean?

If you mean the players are passing the ball terribly, I agree but playing such a narrow formation also makes it a lot harder for players to pass the ball

It means if you don't pass the ball properly it doesn't matter what else is going on. Tactics, formation, all borderline irrelevant if your players are knocking it about so badly.

Goodbye top 4. Spurs looking good with the manager we should have got and Arsenal beating all the teams you expect them to beat on paper. fecking shit!

You have to see something to give it a chance. I'm being unfair and I'm just tired of giving people who I don't think are good enough a chance.

I need to see something to get behind, I see no pattern of play, zero press, same player selection with form not coming into it, players doing whatever they want on the pitch and RR just sitting doing feck all about it. RR is the one that who needs to prove himself here, as a manager he's average and could be past it too.

    Come off it.

Players miss 2 weeks, they have no match fitness.

Players play every week, they are fatigued and need a rest.

If they need to have perfect conditions to play their best each match, we are fecked. Let's stop with the excuses.

Ironically, Maguire was the only player to ever be in a sensible position defensively, but yeah, it was like a school playground game. It's literally the managers job to stop that happening, he deserves a little slack for being new but it's hard to not be a little concerned.

So players in a continued run of shite form should be immune from the drop?

Presume you want Maguire and Rashford on that last too?

The only good news is United keeps their unbeaten run since Carrick took over.

As a manager he over performed at the clubs he was employed at. Of course he is unproven at any top club, but for you to write him off as average and assume he is doing nothing behind the scenes to fix the issues we currently have is definitely unfair.

Not excuses, just pure human nature and as Rafa would say, Fahcts.

There's a balance between overplaying and not playing enough, also, just doing cardio Training doesn't help much with match fitness, that's comes with playing.

Yeah but so much talk of Ole making changes in the background and yet we see nothing. I'm worried it will be much of the same here too.

Unfair I agree, I know I am. But it's up to RR to win fans over, besides that first half against Palace we have seen nothing, today it could have been Ole in the dugout.

Rangnik himself said those that had to do training at home were given their program and monitored to ensure they did it - all of whom did
Yup, which is completely different to playing matches or small sided games....which funny enough is what they did when they got 23 players back.
