Which includes Fred. He’s one of our worst passers.

Matic can pass the ball to another player. Fred couldn't even do that on Thursday. Fecking atrocious decision to play him after that performance.

(Motm performance incoming to spite me)
Tbf I missed the Thursday game but in terms of the type of players they are, Fred simply has to play even if he hasnt played well. Matic doesn't work next to McTominay. Pereira doesn't work deeper. No other options. Fred is a deep lying playmaker type who can add energy, but his performances havent been great. Still, nobody else can potentially even work, whereas Fred at least if he puts it together can work.

Who else genuinely thinks we could be in a relegation battle this season? If we see that type of line-up regularly that is where we will be.

I do actually, I'm quite concerned about it. A lot of fans will laugh but it would be very arrogant and naïve to think we couldn't be in one. This team is garbage.

That's news to me because I can never figure out what Fred is supposed to be when I see him play. He barely even looks like a footballer. He makes Anderson look like the fecking Messiah.

The mighty Long Staffs will obliterate our brave but useless midfield trio of Pereira Fred and McTominay.

And show exactly why Longstaff is the only midfielder in the world Ole rates as good enough to sign.

This is one of the worst united lineups in living memory.

Still don't understand how we have so many injuries when it's only October...

Edit: I'd rather play Greenwood as RW, Perreira as AM and get rid of Mata. Apart from that we don't really seem to have too many players available.

Anybody looking at that team shouldn’t be surprised with a defeat today.

Not much Ole can do tbf and it’s why the board/woody should take the blame before the manager.

    Solskjaer explains Lindelof absence
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed why Victor Lindelof is not in United’s matchday squad against Newcastle.

    Solskjaer told MUTV:

“Victor and Jesse got injuries against Alkmaar on that pitch. Paul obviously didn’t travel. So we’ve just got more concerns on the injury front but that doesn’t matter now, we’ve got 11 out there who have been playing together. Diogo did well against Alkmaar.”

I know how fecking bad we are now.

But seeing that lineup and bench has actually really shocked me.

    That is relegation level bad.

That cul-de-sac gif of Ole would be suitable with today's lineup. I can't really see how he can get through this with acceptable results until the next transfer window.

The state of that line up and bench...depressing stuff.
Rashford must deliver today, same with Fred and Mata.
Good luck to Ole and the team:nervous:

It's incredible that if this appalling team of mentally weak average players can somehow bore a win out of this we'd be 4 points off city.

    I expect we lose 2-0

I mean, it should be said

We're missing 5 players who would be starting today if fit, so the lineup does look worse than it would normally.

But still, a shocking lack of depth and quality.

It’s amazing reading this. Nobody wants Mata, Andreas, Fred, or Matic. Who’s supposed to start exactly?

We come out of every match with about three injuries

May as well try Garner in midfield instead of Fred or whomever else.

Anyway, hope we win. Don't care how.

    six-pointer.... relegation battle

To be honest I wouldnt mind that. Would make this season a lot more meaningful and exciting if we were. Might even give the club and players some purpose!

Also why the hell is everyone half decent injured? What kind staff have we got behind the scenes who can't keep the players halfway fit and healthy?:(

By all means, spunk another £50 million on a shit player. #rebuild.

What will happen is he will play well against us today and this will convince the idiots coaching the team that he is a worthy purchase. This is the WRONG player to sign. WRONG WRONG WRONG.

Damn that line-up makes for hard reading. I'm glad I got my prediction right from the other night and that Tuanzebe is starting at the back with Maguire. That's about the only thing that excites about that line-up. I'm a lot more concerned about various aspects.

I have stopped doing the lineup prediction because I can't stand looking at the poor options which we have.
It’s beyond bonkers! One of the richest clubs in the world and we are reduced to these options.

It’s amazing reading this. Nobody wants Mata, Andreas, Fred, or Matic. Who’s supposed to start exactly?

Herrera and Fellaini. Oh wait, THEY were the deadwood..

Although Andreas wasnt bad last game, if he can keep that up hes fine, rest are awful though.

Midtable United FC. Terrifying starting line-up.

Literally only care about seeing Axel/Maguire as a pairing. Interesting on paper, that. Also, seems I (and others) were spot-on in calling that Lindelöf was axed for Tuanzebe hence being used in midweek - apparently we didn't know what we were talking about and so forth. Some really arrogant, deluded posters on this board.

I said 1-1, I'm changing my mind to 0-0 - we can't buy a goal unless someone gifts us a penalty and even that's 50/50. A loss wouldn't surprise me in the slightest because that is a relegation-battle team right there.

Wolves came back from winning in Instanbul to outplay City; from the reports most of our team sleep walked around a pitch in Holland on Thursday but watch this Newcastle side make this United team look like they’ve just run concurrent marathons.

With the options available surely 352 would have been the best bet, no?
