We can sack as many managers as we like. While Woodward is still involved in the playing side nothing will change.

Ole is out of his depth here and that is obvious. But the culprit in this sad situation for United is Ed Woodward and his bosses, not Ole. Just the thought that Ed Woodward will still be guiding any future transfer dealings, and player contracts at United gives me the creeps. If I was Ole I would quit and give Woodward the 2 fingers while doing so for Woodward is the guy who has been in charge during our demise. Or de-Moyes if you like.

Sean Longstaff wasn't good enough to play for us they said. Now he bosses us around and his kid brother scores against us.

PS. Gave up watching at half time and went shag the missus. Wise decision that.
Neither are good enough for us. Although they might be in our present predicament.

Just look at the sheer delight on Matty Longstaff's face in that interview, that's what football is all about. You'd never see that from the useless lot we've got, so long as the money is rolling in they're happy.

OLe should quit and tell the whole world the truth, he did not get the full backing of the club to sign the players he needed. Same as Jose the season before, the problem is obvious to anyone with half a brain, and that problem is Ed Woodward. get that clown out.

Woodward does the signings. Ask Mourinho.
The whole club is sick, alright. But Ole shouldn't escape from blame. He's an amateur coach, who wouldn't get into any club in the premier league, hell even in the championship.

They will make him sign an agreement not to say anything if he wants his compensation.

He should have suggested them, then yes it is Woodward or whoever's job. Everybody is failing.

I'm sure he suggested them. He would have loved Dybala and Mandzukic. Who wouldn't? But they were deemed too expensive. By... Woodward! Ole doesn't escape blame for the way we are playing but he shouldn't be blamed for Ed's failings in the transfer market.

The Glazers have a lot to answer for but being beaten by bottom of the table Newcastle that just got hammered by Leciester sits squarely on the manager firstly, the players secondly and the rest of the management staff lastly. It has nothing to do with the Glazers this game. None. Except if they were the ones to hire Ole then maybe they can be blamed. I'm not pro Glazer but I am sick of the excuses. The manager and the players should be ashamed of themselves. I seriously don't know how they sleep at night.

We were told anything would be better than Jose in charge. We were told a big lie.

If you listen to Ole, he chose to go into the season with these players didn't he?

As much as I would like to blame Woodward and the Glazers, you dont need a team of Messi's and Ronaldo's to best the likes of Newcastle and AZ.

because Ole said he was happy with what he had and clearly knows nothing

None of the past managers performed this badly. As clueless as Moyes was he still had a plan to get crosses into the box to Felliani. What are our tactics under Ole?

I'm not even taking into account the horrendous squad management.

Fair points... so Carrick in charge and get rid of all above him currently.

Three things I take from the game :-

    1. Another really poor performance. 2. Axel played well again. 3. We still look clueless when teams sit in and defend.

Rashford has had his chance at main striker and should be played from the left moving forward. Martial has to come back in as the main striker. James should have been a squad player this season, but we are relying on him to deliver straightaway and its just too soon. Fred was woeful again, Pereira not much better. Mata is supposed to unlock these defences but he doesn't.

They are hiding and not taking responsibility. The manager needs to be strong and act quickly, because the knives will be out, and we all know these players save themselves, when things don't go their way..

I said in another thread that we need 4, and I thought 2 in Jan and 2 end of season will do, but we need all 4 in Jan, but you just don't get the quality we need in Jan that's the problem.

Nobody is asking Ole to win trophies. Not one person has said this.
Ole has shown relegation form since the PSG match last season and Fergie never showed this sort of form.
Fergie never had Woody our this squad.

    Bore off.

his coaching has been dire. The teams even worse than it was under mourinho!
Never said it wasn't, just pointed out that he didn't get shit but the other managers could buy what they wanted. He gotten rid of a lot of deadwood that the other mangers left him with. But I agree his system and style is shit.

and all that talk about the threat we pose because of our pace.... oh please, that's the sort of joke Jimmy Tarbuck makes

    And he was a scouser.
Quite understandably people will be calling for Ole's head.
But we all know by now that our problems go much deeper than the manager.
And until those problems are understood and rectified it will be more of the same.

I am now wondering, who would have better for us Rashford or Lukaku?

If you want a target man then of course it would be Lukaku.
    We have zero creativity.
    We have no pace.
    We have no technical skills.
And we very clearly have no ideas.
To be honest I couldn't wait for the match to finish.
    It was abysmal.
    This is not Manchester United.
This is a Championship side at best.
I really wish that I didn't care. But I do.
Come on United. This is beyond a joke.

I think you're letting Rashford off easily. Cross near post he should have been near, another good cross from Dalot he wasn't in the box, he's not putting himself in positions where chances arrive, there were chances to be had. He needs to do more, he needs to put himself in positions to make something happen.

I agree. But i also think Rashford should be playing out wide. He has had all his best games while playing wide.
