Apart from RB it is pretty clear the team we will go with. Have a feeling/hope that with Wolves likey to sit back Mount could help us unlock them. If it is 0-0 at half time and we haven't threatened much Erikksen and/or Sancho could be introduced to further unlock

Going to preface by saying I don't classify myself as part of Martial FC but, also believe that if fit, then ETH thinks highly of him and improves as a team and can see why at times. So am curious if Ten Hag seriously just kept him out of pre-season games to hopefully be able to use him at the start season for portions of the games. If he was that far back in his recovery or still injured, then why travel all over and also take part in previous training sessions with the rest of the squad.

Hopefully can for the first few games even give us 50-60 minutes up top till Højlund is ready to start taking the bulk of the CF minutes. Do not want to see the Sancho experiment in real games and rather Rashford start LW and then move centrally later in the game.

I think we'll win, but it'll be hard work. Wolves will certainly park the bus and try to play for the draw. I know everyone's got Garnacho starting, but I'd honestly consider bringing him on from the bench against tired legs instead.

I hate our lack of movement against the low block. We don’t seem to try much movement and I’ve no idea where we imagine a opening would come from

Feels unreal that it is finally starting again.

Still have PTSD from last years opening 2 rounds for us, so i am quite nervous for this.

There will be no bounce as they were on the up with their previous manager. It’s not like he was sacked for a terrible record. At best they’ll perform to the same level they would have otherwise

You'd expect the starting XI to be the team ten Hag put out against Lens. However, there's two question marks for me. Garnacho or Sancho and Dalot or Wan-Bissaka, as you said.

Both Wan-Bissaka and Sancho were arguably our best performers during pre season, and I didn't watch the game, but apparently they were really good against Bilbao, too.

Good headaches for ten Hag to have, but as I said, I believe we'll see the Lens starting XI.

Doubtful. I can't imagine he'll be on anything more than the bench. Ten Hag doesn't seem the type to through someone in while nto match fit. Most likely Rashford up top with Garnacho or Sancho on the left.
