Just had a look and Wolves have lost 3, drawn 1 and won 1 in there last 5

Lost to Liverpool, Burnley and Villa, drew with Spurs and beat Arsenal.

    We will win this comfortably
Before drawing with United in Old Trafford last season Wolves had lost 3,drawn 1 and won 1 of their last 5.

The only team United have comfortably beaten at home in the league this season was Leeds whom don't put any effort into defending the very opposite of Wolves.

I think that's way off. Wolves are a good team, we struggled with them last year and this will be a tough game. We're favorites, but a draw wouldn't be very surprising. And certainly no disgrace. I'm not impressed by Traore either, but I most certainly am by Neto, and to some extent by Podence. D very solid, as is central midfield. And they've showed some real strength clawing their way back into games where they've been down, against strong teams too. This is a quality side. Good thing they're missing Jimenez.

I agree though the extra day of rest should help.

I think they’re a solid team but it all comes down to what our aspirations for the season are. If we want to be looking towards challenging for the league then we need to be turning over sides like Wolves at home. They have been a direct rival to us for too long, which says a lot about our standards. We shouldn’t be sitting here worried about Wolves.

People are cautious because we never beat them. We’re 0-3-1 against them in the PL since their return & 1-1-1 in cup competitions. That’s 1 win in 7 against them. They are somewhat of a bogey team for us.

Yep, it’s maddening. My wife and her family are all Wolves fans so I have a bit of extra skin in the game. Hope we can lay the law down this evening!

It's snowing here in Manchester! I hope it snows during the match, too!

We’ll win this, and then we`ll beat Villa before we smash Liverpool off the field at Anfield, which will represent the downfall of Klopp and Liverpool. Top of the league and Ole will be the best thing since sliced bread yet again. Keep the faith caftards. We are United. They are shitting their shorts.
    Love it.

They're quality defensively still but they lack bite without Jimenez. We definitely should be winning, but its also the team that we are horrible at playing against.
I've watched their last few games and have been impressed by the young forward, Fabio Silva. His movement and positioning is very good. Hope our defenders are prepared for him as this boy hustles.

Interesting, I've been watching him too and have come to the conclusion that he's awful.

Woke up today to a lot of snow in Manchester, I hope it clears for tonight.

Fans aren't allowed, so doubt it would be a problem. Fan safety is usually why games are called off due to snow.

Really hope he starts Cavani to give us that focal point in attack. Would also like to see Pogba involved.

Hopefully that extra days rest will make a difference today. Three points would be massive!

"We shouldn't be sitting here worried about Wolves" you write, as if in a normal world we wouldn't have to, and as if it was our divine right to take victory over smaller clubs for granted. I don't believe in that. That's not aspiration, that's entitlement.

They've taken 4 points off Chelsea and Tottenham the last three rounds. I'm pretty sure there's no team in the league who'd approach this matchup with easy confidence, and they've no reason to either.

Wolves have been shite this season, we should be beating them.

I thought they looked dangerous against Spurs. They have some very good players who could give us some serious problems tonite if our defence isn't at the races.

I would love to sit here with a straight face and say I think we will win, but I'm not sure. It depends what "United" turn up doesn't it. Since we've made a habit of conceding goals I just hope we can score this evening.

Trust me, aside from Villa the one team in the league they and their fans want to beat is United, even now when we aren't what we once were. I'm also expecting Liverpool fan Coady to have the second best game of his life tonight. I think he'll struggle to top his performance at Anfield from a couple of weeks ago, he was imperious that night at both ends of the pitch.

Manchester United have added five of their most promising youth team players to their first-team squad ahead of the Premier League visit of Wolves on Tuesday - Shola Shoretire, Facundo Pellistri, Ethan Laird, Anthony Elanga and Will Fish.
    Daily Fail

    Good to see Laird(if true)

He doesn’t score any goals though

One big advantage we have at this time of year is squad depth. Wolves have none. Even though we have a few key players we can still rotate midfield and in the wide areas, Cavani or Martial. It should make a difference with the tight schedule.

Tonight’s going to be interesting. I’m in two
Minds, half of me wants Cavani and half of me wants Greenwood, Rashford and Martial. I’m getting tired of reading on here about how we need a striker, have you seen Cavani’s career, at 33 he’s still got a lot to offer, more interestingly Rashford ‘s Stats in 2020 are almost identical to Mane who many are calling one of the best in the world last season. I agree that a great RW, CB or even DM would be an amazing cherry on top purchase but upfront we are ready.
Interestingly we are 3rd highest scorers on 30 goals, Liverpool have 37 and Chelsea have 31, City have 21. Our problem is at the other end.

It definitely won't be nowhere near as easy as against Leeds, and they are a decent squad, but if we are really progressing we must win these types of games especially with our direct rivals dropping point everywhere

Their style is unusual for the Premier League. Emphasis on skills, organisation and decision making - a control-oriented team rather than a defensive team. Very continental. But they play with less emphasis on energy than most PL sides, which means they mostly don't dominate games. You see though how that is more a question of style than of quality when they ramp up the pressure because the opposition is ahead. In those cases, they tend to take over the game, and they just keep going if they get the equaliser.Tottenham was lucky to come away with a point.

That's what worries me a bit for this evening, because we do tend to let teams back into the game when in the lead. And they're too good defensively that you can expect to blow them away with 2 or 3 goals before they wake up.

That being said, we are a better team than they are. The odds should favor us.

I’d love this to be a comfortable game won by half time, but I think we all know it won’t be

if we win it will probably be by one goal & be a nervy one. I got the beers in ready for this, gonna need them I think

I agree. Ive seen them look completely laboured in the first half of games and then in the second they look like a totally different team.

We are a better team than them but I just worry that we won't "show up" and I hate using that phrase.

Silva's been terrible, but against our shitty defense you just never know.

Neto and Podense are the danger men for wolves

We should start our best front line and don’t feck about as this is a crucial game. Rashford, Cavani, Greenwood and Bruno should be in the starting lineup if we’re serious about challenging. None of these half-arsed players like Martial or just plain average in James.

Any word on Wan-Bissaka yet? Hope he can start. I can see quite a few changes from the Leicester game too:

    de Gea
    Wan-Bissaka Bailly Maguire Telles
    Pogba Fred
    Greenwood Bruno Rashford
    Cavani

Would like Rashford to be rested, but I think we must start Maguire, Bruno and Rashford in every league game if fit. Their rest will come if we can have games sewn up in 60 minutes (and in some cup games). Martial is probably a guaranteed substitute if we start with the above forwards. Hoping we can bring on Matic & Donny to help see the game out and pack the midfield too.

Really important that we can get these back to back wins now (Wolves & Villa). I think I'm right in saying that every team in and around us did not win their last game except Everton? And maybe Man City too. Crucial that we start to capitalize and we have the squad to do it.

    ..................DeGea
    WanB - TZ - Maguire - Telles
    ................Fred---deBeek
    Greenwood - Bruno - Rashford
    ....................Cavani

    Subs: Pogba, Pellistri, Martial
    win 3-1 (Cavani, Rashford, Greenwood)

    Really? He's been awful.

I think you both have a point. :) He moves well and creates threats, but he hasn't been finishing well. But then he's only 18, and is still looking for his first PL goal. Let's hope this isn't the game when the cork comes out of the bottle.

He was very likely never intended at this point to start game after game and be the go-to guy, the way he is now because of Jimenez' injury. Neto is the big threat, and to an extent Podence. And set-pieces.

Could do with Rashford being rested.
His shoulder problem was aggravated against Leicester. By all reports, he’ll be assessed but there’s a chance he’ll be rested
