Can't wait for Axel in action
He also missed from two yards. He doesn't put enough power on half the passes he makes. It was the same last game. Fine dribbler and opens up a lot of space of course. Could be better at actually connecting with the ball though. He has played three or four passes this game nobody else on the field could play. He is very good at kicking the ball.
Reminds me of Axel FoleyAxel is a great first name
Wigan fans wants to tell us they support their local team.
Is it Axel or Axle?Like something out of Streets of Rage.
TFM has gone off injured. Is going off injured.Could be for BFS I reckon (Tuanzebe). Move TFM to midfield
Mirror. Signal. Mirror. Manoeuvre.Don't you love how Smalling has to position himself correctly behind the ball before he passes it? He can't just simply knock it somewhere... He has to move his whole body so it's facing the way he wants to pass.
This is the sort of thing I am concentrating on today.

Forget the set up then and simply consider that most of his games for ManUtd, Monaco and France have mostly been on the left witv many good performances.I mean you might not be wrong there but look at the context.
Apart from Miki, the only one player, who realistically can give him the ball or offer any movement of any quality. Mata and Rooney are static players, who like to pass (the responsibility) onto someone else before trying to position themselves to attack. Then you have two deep midfielders in Fellani and Schweini, who have barely played any games individually or together..
Not exactly the best set up to succeed.
It is unlike the scousers or Spurs who has to battle to come back. This has turned into a very professional performance from us.

He was ill by all accounts, so I have trouble believing he was singing "Woke up this morning, feeling fine …"He's absolute class. Bet he was starting chants off as well.
Much easier for us to save our energy that way for the next game, just the sort of match we wanted. It is unlike the scousers or Spurs who has to battle to come back.
Oh don't get me wrong, he can pull off a fantastic pass, but they're generally slower floatier passes from what I've seen. He doesn't seem to put his foot through the ball much and sometimes I think he should. He has a sloppy back pass in him too which prompted my post. That really was a sitter, his finishing is very erratic. I like his passing style, he does miss a few too to be fair, but he also has those special passes in his locker which make it worth while. .
