What I like about Fellaini is that when we have the ball, erm.

I see Fellaini getting sent off today...Atkinson has got it in him for us today.. Also our players bar DeGea are all shit!

I get how some might think we were decent in the first half, but in truth we never troubled their keeper and that's how I define "decent" -- the number and quality of shots on goal.

One deflected shot by Herrera and another skyball shot by Herrera. That's it.

put all the youngsters on, they have something to play for...they have something to prove. Just go for it

Na, the injured warriors are back. It's defending for our lives and hoping for Martial to produce magic from now on.

Even in the bland Dave Sexton years we would create more than this.

    How low can we go.

People can have a go at LvG whole day but i am sorry,if you look how those players play in attacking position...they cba to move, there are no runs behind, between players nothing,Martial getting praised for his solo shit but when No10 is in possession of the ball...Martial just stands on throw line like a statue, hell in few occasions his position was behind a player who has a ball and looking for pass.

I know some will jump and say how that must be 100% LvG order (which would be bollox imo).

Is that really difficult to understand that managers and coaches are supposed to engineer those movements during the week?

Playing as expected with a central midfield containing Carrick and Fellaini. One too slow and one poor on the ball. The game is passing them by and poor Herrera is trying to be everywhere.

    Because they are!

This is the quarter finals of a major cup competition.

Every point counts for top 4.
of course, but then why even say it

In reality we are home against a top 5 team and looking the better team, should probably be doing better, but not that bad. 'must win game' nonsense shouldn't really factor in to how happy we are with performance

    Felliani is going nowhere.
He is probably the one player the entire team is based around, which is why he has taken the CM role (so he gets to see more of the ball and dictate the game play).
I know some of you don't like Fellaini, but LVG feels that he is "Da Man".

I don't mind him but not in CM. He doesn't pass the ball well and he's got no pace to speak of.

Well, I suppose we can say we haven't been awful! But, surprise, surprise, we haven't test their keeper. Do the board actually watch games? And what does LVG wrote in that damn book - because whatever it is, it doesn't change anything. Varella looking quite good again Martial doing good work - just hope he can keep that up for 90 minutes, which hasn't been the case in recent games (and same can be said of most of the players). As ever, Herrera is eased off the all all too easily. He is far to light/slight. one or two good passes from Carrick and Fellaini making nuisnace of himself. Nothing more...

I really don't want a replay. There's no way we'll win at their place.

However if we go out today, after already going out of the title race, then the top 4, then the Europa league barring a miracle, then there's literally nothing left for him to feck up.

Dictate game play. The man can't direct a show for the blind. He's a fraud.

How is rugby tackling Noble a professional foul?. It was just plain dirty and could have been better dealt with. The CB's and FB's were there to deal with it. Plus if they had scored from the eventual set piece, would you still be defending him?

    Needless card as usual.

The CBs and FBs were staring at Lingaard screaming for a foul while West Ham players were swarming towards our box and getting in great passing positions.

If Fellaini had waited Noble could have easily passed the ball straight into our box.

    Di Mariancame and went
    Hernandez came and went
Mata had come and may well go..
But Fellaini remains. Just on that heads should roll. Just on that decision making - he's so not a Utd player it's ridiculous.

Our team looks like one of those fantasy teams where you splash all your money on a great striker and just fill the rest of your team with the cheapest donkeys you can find.

Is that really difficult to understand that managers and coaches are supposed to engineer those movements during the week?

One thing is to practice but to see a space, chance to run behind and not to be bothered is a basic stuff.

Of course we haven't scored yet again....

Barca have a front three of Suarez, Messi and Neymar....

Our front three includes Lingard and Rashford plus a 'promising' Martial....

That's how far we've regressed from the last time we played them in the CL Final just a few years ago....

How bad does it have to become for a fan to start even considering that a loss and a change might be the lesser evil than the continued regime?

    Sad days folks!

I got to that stage with Moyes and have been close with Van Gaal. Not there yet though as I still feel we have something to fight for. We can still win the FA Cup if we win this game and I still think top 4 is possible given City and Arsenals current form. So for now I want us to win an I don't think he would get the sack if we lost anyway.

Not all of them were. And even if they were, that tackle was and is still stupid. He could've just slid into a tackle, but why make it so obvious to the ref that it's a revenge foul? It was straight out of a rugby playbook right there.
