As the only other CB we have is a lad who got racially abused for making a foul I do not know who else could have played.
I was laughing at the Laurel and Hardy joke. But since you ask, I would play Lindelof and Tuanzebe. But Ole will never drop Harry, he spent 80m on him and made him captain so he has to stand by him by the looks of it.

that piece of shit Noble always seems to raise his game for us, hopefully not tonight.

Maguire-y and Lind-y. Again. F-ing hell. Is Ole trolling us fans? The board? He may be playing himself out of a job with his mule headed team selection. I hope his stubbornness pays off but I can't see this pairing EVER coming good.

Not underestimating WBA, is 5 days not enough recovery ? Not like they would play the full game, if we are winning.
But the team out is more than good enough to win.

I missed the 5 days. That’s enough but at the same time those two have been playing non-stop and needed to be carefully managed. Bruno been featuring all our league match while Cavani who is 34 years old been playing non-stop 3 games in a row in less than 2 weeks.

    Bailly is injured mate.

Cavani yes a good point, the others are at peak fitness, so should have been fine.

Any suggestions who to play instead?

Bailly’s injured, Tuanzebe is in horrific form. I do think his hand is forced a bit.

feck sake. It’s Jermaine Jenas on commentary tonight. Might be worth sticking the game on mute.

Jenas' trophy cabinet is tragic. I wouldn't be displaying that.

Good god! it’s Jermaine Anus as co commentator, only slightly less worse than Keown.

I disagree. Man City are still in this tournament and prioritise it.

    Tottenham and Chelsea too

There’s more chance of us not winning than winning it.

Therefore the best use of our resources is to prioritise the league and come as close as we can-even if(as is likely) we don’t win it. At least we can cement ourselves as contenders for a top prize
We are better than both Spurs and Chelsea, City will be focused on League and CL. So you're essentially saying give up on a cup because we can finish 2nd instead of 3rd? That's insane. FA Cup is an important competition and what our side needs more than anything is a trophy. We aren't giving up on the title but we also aren't going to win it anyway, so there's no need to save players for it. Just go for every trophy we are in. The only competition acceptable to toss aside is the League Cup, or Europa League if you are in serious fights for the League. Likewise FA Cup it is acceptable push it aside if we are in a serious fight for the League and the Champions League. As we arent, it has to take priority.

again yes good point, but he could get injured at anytime in any match, even training, cant wrap them in cotton wool.

Yes and this match will reduce the risk of it. I just think there are valid reasons and points to rest Cavani, Bruno & Shaw

Six changes, yet Laurel and Hardy keep their places at centre back, when both are struggling. It shows how badly we need to sort out that position.

Yeah that & CDM has to be top priority this summer, yes we could also do with a proper RW but need to cut down the goals conceded first

Maguire and Lindelof are also in horrific form. It's a mess.
This is highly exaggerated, or actually it is wrong plain and simple. Since Lindelof came back after his injury they have been quite good. Ok last match wasn’t great but before that 3 clean sheets in a row in the PL against Liverpool, Arsenal and Southampton. We also play FA cup tonight because we beat Liverpool and this pair was playing. So don’t know how that can be “horrific form”.

On current level, he is not better though.
How is he supposed to prove himself, if he isn't given a chance. A home cup tie, when the two in front of him are so poor, is the perfect game for him to try to play his way into form. I would have like to see him given a go tonight, but Ole is sticking by the other two, so that's that.

Poor BBC. They prepare a piece on Luke Shaw and he’s not even playing.

Liverpool can't score in a brothel at the moment; Arsenal are dreadful and were missing six players, and Southampton had a man sent off in the second minute.

They conceded two at home to Sheffield United and three to Everton, who had three shots on target. We have conceded THIRTY league goals so far; opposition teams know we can't defend. Maguire and Lindelof are like a cat on hot bricks and have been terrible.

Should have started Bruno. If we goes out big questions need to be asked. Still strong enough side to win it, but West Ham is not an easy game.

    BBC showing Jose on Shaw
    You were watching
    "His body but my brain"

That has to be the worst man management I've ever witnessed in the game.:wenger::wenger:

    Feck off Jose you Has-been

Good opportunity for Donny to step up and Ole's first real teast of course.

Did I hear that right or did Alan shearer just say “man united have conceded 30 goals in the premier league - nobody has conceded more. Fulham have conceded 31...”
