Winning this by 2 GD minimum will put us into in a very good position for top 4, not only we can still be in top 4 with just a draw against Leicester, we can also still be in top 4 even if we lose by 1 GD to Leicester.
No need to win by at least a 3 goal margin for that to happen

This is definitely a must win. So full first XI no doubt. Win this and only a draw with Leicester will give us CL next season. Just fecking win this please. Gonna be a really tough one but I think we'll win.

If your best players are not performing like how they normally do, largely because of fatigue..

Isn't it counter-productive and pointless to insist on playing them?

A short break on the bench at the start can do wonders.

We just need to win. It doesn't matter how.

I'm quite upset Matic played yesterday's game. That game was for Fred and Mctominay. Now I think he would want to give Matic a rest and Mctominay will start with Bruno and Pogba in midfield. Mctominay in Matic's position is a no from me

I was dead serious about us should drop DDG this match. Then suddenly I remember Romero's distribution and passing. It kinda sucks imo. We'll have the majority of possession for sure, and we probably would dominate the game as well. And we'll build from the back like the recent matches. So imo we should play DDG this match, just because he's better with the ball than Romero. Please don't bash me, just having a logical opinion.

    Romero

    TFM Lindelöf Maguire Shaw/Williams

    Pogba McTominay

    Greenwood Bruno Rashford

    Martial

Totally agree. McTominay would be much better against those bullying Chelsea midfielders. He'd set them right.

He has always played very good in the big games as well, and Matic needed a rest. Ah well.

Ole has admitted he got the selection wrong. Now it’s time to put it right.

TFM at RB. He can counter Antonio’s pace. Fingers crossed Shaw has recovered but not getting my hopes raised. Williams if he hasn’t. It’s the CBs that concern me. The lack of pace ....

Midfield and up front ...as you were

West Ham are playing well and may have no problem wih relegation.

On the other hand our team seem very tired.

They were playing well largely because they wanted to be free from relegation. Now that they are they will likely not give 2 cents about this game.

That's the whole point - they will not be under any pressure while we will be under a great deal of pressure.
    This is not good.

Ole must fresh the team up in this game. It's vital ahead of the big game on sunday. Just avoid a loss against West Ham.

I respect that. Now we move on. I kind of have already

Why is not good to play a team that has feck all to play for? You'd look to be playing sides like West Ham in the final games of a season.

Just about any situation can be spinned in a way to show some sort of psychological advantage for either side.

    - West Ham are safe: therefore they'll play under no pressure with the shackles off.
    - West Ham are safe: therefore they won't give a feck and let us roll over them.
    - West Ham are fighting against relegation: they'll fight for every blade of grass.
    - West Ham are fighting against relegation: the stakes, the sheer pressure will paralyse them.

The truth is that we just don't know how they'll react to these situations. Not to mention different players react differently: some thrive under pressure but lose focus when nothing's at stake; others fold when the stakes are high but are unstoppable when they're just playing for fun.

I would start Ighalo with Rashford and Martial as Greenwood looked tired in the past few games.

I disagree - it's quite unanimously perceived (and accurately too) that teams that have nothing to play for tend to be easier opponents.
Also we don't have a lot of pressure. We can qualify by just playing out a draw in both games. Neither of our remaining fixtures are must wins. If you were looking at the table for ideal opponents for the next game you'd find few that are more ideal than West Ham.

Moyes and West Ham. It's written in the stars. Every time we need a result against them something happens.

The thing is, technically, we can do without a result against them as long as we win against Leicester.

Dunno. Southampton, who had absolutely nothing to play for, were much tougher for us than Sheffield United, Brighton or Bournemouth who very much needed the points. So I don't think it's that simple.

As for not having a lot of pressure - surely you don't believe that? We are under a huge amount of pressure to qualify for the CL. Just two draws would do it doesn't mean we're not under pressure. CL qualification will go down to the final day where we play away to one of our direct rivals. How is that not a lot of pressure?

I'm seeing a lot of 'West Ham are playing well' - Are they though?

They were decent against Norwich, who put in possibly the worst Premier League performance that i've ever seen.
They were ok against Watford in the first half, but Watford had a lot of good opportunities and could've made them pay. If our front 3 and Bruno are at it, then we should put them to the sword.

Their danger men are obviously Bowen and Antonio - We can't afford to let Bowen get any crosses in either because that Soucek seems to make himself a nuisance in the box and if he pulls onto Lindelof we might be in trouble.

I would start Ighalo with Rashford and Martial as Greenwood looked tired in the past few games.
Think it was more a case of playing against better teams. He could shoot, but he doesn't offer enough yet.

We better beat them by 3+. I know we can’t think past the 3 points to start with but I’m telling you now if we have to go to Leicester and all we need is a draw we’ll see the biggest caf meltdown ever seen or heard of before. Think West Ham away 15/16 x10.

Will be squeaky bum time for sure. Like a final in a cup competition.

Southampton have Ralph Hasenhuttl who has been renowned for his consistency. Moyes has been fighting relegation with West Ham since he joined, who have themselves been fighting relegation since the start of the season.

And no I genuinely don't think we have a lot of pressure because we are in a position where we can win neither remaining game and still get 4th. That's how strong our position is - just 2 draws and we're fine. Pressure would stem if either was must win, because we'd be panicking in trying to search for a goal etc.

If we just approach the game as normal we should be fine. It's fecking West Ham under David Moyes with feck all to play for. Not a high energy Southampton side, a solid top 7 side like Wolves, or Champions of England or anything like that. It's West Ham.

We could almost guarantee top 4 place by winning this game against West Ham by a big margin. Keep attacking right up to the end, instead of lying back on a lead. Score a load of goals and keep a clean sheet and we are there.
