If we lose or draw this, top 4 is likely lost IMO even if Chelsea drop points. Spurs are already getting back their mojo and Chelsea do enough to just about nick the other games.

Have to agree. Tottenham's shocking mini slump seems well and truly over, aided by their CL performance and finally moving into their new stadium. They've had their own positive bounce.

Chelsea seemed to recover and Sarri's head has moved a few extra inches away from the guillotine blade in recent weeks. So what looked like a certain top four casualty are now looking just fine, and as you say doing just enough to get the points.

Arsenal...after their mini wobble, they seem to be in a Chelsea but slightly better situation.

So, looking at the remaining games for each side, I think we can afford to lose one and draw one...but not here. This must be a victory.

It's nice that we're firmly in the mix for top four though. When you consider where we were, Ole and the team did exceptionally well to drag us back into the conversation. It's just that bit more painful then should we, as it seems, get so close just to rue one or two results and a sudden downswing in two or three players' performances. It's going to hurt more than if we'd missed out without expectation.

Darmian is probably not fit to play 90 min. I would either play Lindelöf and Dalot as fullbacks or Lingard and Dalot as wing backs.

Early goal please. I would like to enjoy today. Thanks
Oh wow!, can you imagine 3-0 up by halftime, we can relax, open a nice bottle of vino, order a curry, tell the wife and kids how much you love them, get ready to enjoy MOTD. Happy days.

Although we lost the Barca game without getting a single shot on target, the players showed a level of intensity we haven't seen for weeks.

We'll batter West Ham if we play with that same intensity today.

I'm going with 4-0 to United.

Would love that! Seems like ages ago.

I think it's this, which is quite attacking:

    de Gea
    Dalot Smalling Jones Rojo
    Fred
    Lingard Pogba
    Mata Lukaku Martial

MUTV seems to have started to work with FTD, this Kicking Off programme is very similar. Not used to them being modern.

    Yeah, I noticed that too.

It's kind of nice in a way that the club is actively working with fans in this area.

    5 changes:

    De Gea
    Dalot Smalling Jones Rojo
    Fred
    Mata Pogba
    Lingard
    Lukaku Martial

Bench: Romero Lindelof Rashford Pereira Greenwood

It could be 4-2-3-1 with Fred-Pogba in the middle, and Mata as number 10. It would surprise me to see Juan in midfield to be honest.

    attacking team

lot of responsibility on Fred and Pogba to cover defensively

    hope we start well

Jones, Smalling, Rojo. What could possibly go wrong?

Very attacking line-up, I had Jones at RB but he's in at CB and Rojo has been dusted off for a run-out at LB. :nervous: Fred is going to have a lot of work to do in that midfield, I'm interested to see if it's a diamond. Good to see Greenwood on the bench.

4-4-2 with Lingard and Mata out wide? Or 3-5-2 with Lingard at wingback? Or maybe 4-diamond-2 with Fred as DM?

I'm not sure if it's good or bad that I can't guess our shape.

Very attacking team on paper. Not sure of formation. Could be back three and wing backs with Lingard on the left, Mata in the whole and Rom + Tony up top.

Hope the boys play well together.

A 4-2-3-1. McSauce being rested and no true DM. Rojo and Jones. Ok, this game isn't going to be good for my heart.
