All players except Bruno and McTominay should be fresh for this one. Martial, Fred, AWB, Greenwood, van de Beek especially.
I'd consider starting Matic with Fred in midfield, or maybe even Pogba and Fred.
Any info on Shaw, Telles, and Lindelof and Rashford?
Last I heard, Shaw was expected to miss a month with his hamstring injury. He might be back with the squad for the Leipzig game on December 8th, but that could be an important game and then we play Man City the game after. It might be a big ask to come straight back into those kinds of fixtures with limited training/match fitness, but we'll see. He'll play a lot of minutes through December itself though I'm sure.
Telles I am sure will play at least some part over the next two games and beyond while Shaw is out. I'm 50/50 on him even starting both, but expect Williams will also need some time on the pitch as he's lacked real game time as well. I think the best thing to do will be to try and get them both up to speed with 90~ minutes each over the West Brom and Istanbul games (60/30 over each game for example).
I also agree with the midfield, I think it should be Bruno & Fred +1 and that 1 shouldn't be McTominay. With our next two fixtures we should be able to use van de Beek or Pogba instead of Scott and start Greenwood while we're at it, maybe even Cavani if Rashford isn't 100%. I'd like us to go back to McFred for the trickier set of fixtures after the next two: Southampton (A), PSG (H), Man City (A).
I'm hopeful for something like this:
de Gea
Wan-Bissaka Lindelof Maguire Telles
van de Beek Fred
Greenwood Bruno Rashford
Martial
If things have gone our way then bring on Matic for Fred or Bruno, Williams for Telles, Cavani for Rashford. I usually have a bad feeling for these kinds of games, but hopefully losing the late goal to Spurs knocked the stuffing out of them. They were looking a lot more solid and slightly more dangerous on the counter, but they are seriously missing that extra quality that is needed to survive at this level. If we can crack them in the first half I think we'll win about 4-0.
