Sane and Martial are both 22. Rashford is only 20. Sterling is the oldest at 23. It's a question of if he is willing to wait that long. I think Mourinho could easily help by playing Sanchez on the right. I don't think he would be any less effective on the right. He played on the right for most of his Barcelona career. That would free up the LW for Martial/Rashford to fight over.

Yet people still persist with the idea that he's not getting game time.

Edit: he's 11th in the whole squad, still plenty.

Nope. He has played in the most matches out of the outfielders but Mata, Lukaku and others have more minutes.

Yeah so like my post tried to intimate, Rashford still has a couple of years to develop. He is also clearly favoured by Mourinho, starting him against the Scouse was a big move.

I agree the best solution would be to play Sanchez on the right but Mata has done well in these types of matches today.

Glad to see 433 again, would have picked either of Lingard, Martial or Rashford ahead of Mata but it’s a good line up.

Baily out again? Top player but Jesus he’s constantly out injured, it’s never ending.

Would have been the perfect game to experiment with Martial/Sanchez/Rashford on the right and we're not doing it. Guessing Jose just doesn't see any of them as good on the right as on the left.

Good lineup, pretty much our strongest 11 right now. Herrera is playing for a future at the club I reckon now - he needs to be more than a battling water carrier for the remaining few games, he needs to be our best midfielder.

Glad to see Herrera starting again, he earned it with that performance against City.

We're gonna make a statement today and absolutely batter West Brom in to submission, proving to the fans that last weeks second half demolition of City wasn't just another false dawn.

I'm thinking 5-0 - Lukaku (2) and Sanchez, Pogba and Herrera with 1 a-piece.

Despite popular opinion Harry Kane will not score today.
