Surprised no one thinks Jose will stick with 3 at the back, he used Blind as a centre back early in the season.

Mourinho has done a press conference and made no mention of Fellaini, Shaw or Martial being injured. In fact I've never heard anyone except you mention Martial being injured.

And recently we've seen Blind, Rojo, Darmian and Young all start ahead of a fully fit Shaw.

They were all injured or unfit before the international break. Shaw isn't fully fit. Oh and you can add Mata too the injury list too!

What's your prediction for today then?

Well, given West Brom's injury problems (Phillips out and Rondon and Chadli doubtful) I expect we'll get a 1-1 draw.

    Another frustrating draw, I reckon.

WBA will play four CB's and no FB's - they did it a couple of years ago cause they knew we had no wingers who could get behind the back four. Most boring match of the year, as I recall.

We still haven't got any wingers who can get behind the defence, so it's going to be more of the same UNLESS we have Rooney as striker and both of Rashford and Martial out wide.

You must be great at Stretford end.

I did not meant that I won't be supporting with all my heart. It is just that the way WBA have been playing along with their ability to be dangerous at corners and free-kick, it is not going to be as straightforward as many people think it might be.

I doubt anyone thinks it will be straightforward.

Time for back 4 again I guess. And Fellaini Carrick midfield if Fellaini is fit. If not I honestly don't know how we'll go. Blind in midfield finally. I won't be able to watch this and I'm thinking about putting mobile aside so I don't get instagram or twitter alerts about the result.

    Predicted Starting XI

    David de Gea
    Eric Bailly
    Marcos Rojo
    Antonio Valencia
    Jesse Lingard
    Michael Carrick
    Ashley Young
    Henrikh Mkhitaryan
    Wayne Rooney
    Anthony Martial
    Marcus Rashford

    Predicted Substitutes

    Daley Blind
    Matteo Darmian
    Marouane Fellaini

A few injuries to key players make you realise just how poor our squad depth is.

    Our six players missing:

    CBs: Jones, Smalling
    CMs: Pogba, Herrera
    AM: Mata
    ST: Zlatan

Five of them are among our most played while the other one is Jones.

So for Chelsea it'd be like having Luiz, Zouma (bit generous but their CBs are constant so there's no great analogy for Jones here), Matic, Kante, Hazard and Costa out.

Their starting XI would probably be:

    Courtois
    Azpilicueta Cahill Terry
    Moses Fabregas Loftus-Cheek Alonso
    Willian Batshuayi Pedro

Bench: Begovic, Chalobah, Ake, and four youth players

For Spurs it'd be like having Alderweireld, Wimmer (again, bit generous as there's no great analogy for Jones), Wanyama, Dembele, Eriksen and Kane out.

Their starting XI would probably be:

    Lloris
    Walker Dier Vertonghen Rose
    Winks Alli
    Lamela Sissoko Son
    Janssen

Bench: Vorm, Tripper, Davies, N'koudou, and three youth players

For City it'd be like having Stones, Kompany (again, no great analogy for Jones but as Kompany is always injured he'll do), Fernandinho, Gundogan, Sterling and Aguero out.

Their starting XI would probably be:

    Caballero

    Sagna Otamendi Kolarov Clichy
    Toure
    Navas Silva De Bruyne Sane
    Jesus
Bench: Bravo, Nolito, Delph, Fernando, Iheanacho, and two youth players

For Liverpool it'd be like having Matip, Klavan, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Coutinho and Firmino out.

Their starting XI would probably be:

    Mignolet

    Clyne Lucas Lovren Moreno
    Lallana Can Milner
    Mane Sturridge Origi
Bench: Karius, Gomez, Randall, Alexander-Arnold, Ejaria, Ings, Woodburn

For Arsenal it'd be like having Koscielny, Gabriel, Xhaka, Coquelin, Özil and Sanchez out.

Their starting XI would probably be:

    Cech

    Bellerin Mertesacker Mustafi Monreal
    Ramsey Elneny
    Walcott Welbeck Iwobi
    Giroud
Bench: Ospina, Holding, Gibbs, Jenkinson, Cazorla, Perez, Reine-Adelaide

“We know that with no doubts. You know the reality is probably our tallest players, the ones more ready to cope with this threat, are exactly the players not available to play. So we have to do it in another way and probably the way to do it is to try not to have many set-pieces against us!”

I just wish that another way to be possession based attacking football, probably with a high defensive line, which seems the best way to keep them at bay and avoid corners and set pieces.

    I guess we'll stick by the 3-4-3.

    DDG
    Valencia-Bailly-Rojo-Blind-Darmian
    Carrick-Fellaini
    Mkh-Rashford-Martial

I also wouldn't hesitate to pick Young, he's been very good whenever he's played!

    DDG
    Valencia Bailly Rojo Darmian
    Carrick Mkhitaryan Fellaini
    Rooney Martial
    Rashford
Could the lineup look like this?

Picking Blind and then Darmian as left wingback in a 3-4-3 would be a disaster, just hope you're wrong.

Unfortunate that I've missed Young, but looks a very attacking lineup, so I'm happy. Just hope the game rewards us and Mourinho for being brave.

Actually expected Rooney to start - he is 100% this summer if he can't get in this team even without Ibra and Mata around.
Well, the team is almost as good as it can be with our current problems. Can't wait for Ibra, Pogba and Herrera to return

    That front 4!

On another note, if Shaw is fit and can't get on the bench with Young at LB then he is fecked

This seems like one of those teams SAF would put out constantly and still get a fantastic result.

Glad Jose has went for Martial over Rooney on the left, I'd forgotten about Yong completely, the fact he's in ahead of Blind and Darmian says a lot about how Jose views them.
