For the first twenty minutes I thought it might just be down to TFM and Martial on the right.

But as the game's gone on, it's looking more and more that the players have almost surely been told to go back to the whole possession/philosophy thing.

Or they have never been told to not follow the philosophy.

Typical of LVG, play well against the stronger sides.

But can't sort out the weaker opposition.

Again we are making our opponents look better than they really are.
It's team that are direct and physical that we struggle against. Smalling would've made a massive difference tonight.

I hate people usually saying it, however, Watford aren't an easy team to beat so it shouldn't be an expected easy result.

Saying that it's our own efforts that have been disapointing as much as Watford being decent

Don't worry the players are probably watching some adult movies right now.

They will come out for the second half nice and horny.

We need to win this as City are losing against Pool. If we win this and City lose then we are 1 point behind.
No United would catch up City completely. City would have one game in hand just but psychologically...

    Is Carrick injured too?

He tired, because he played 90 mins back to back. Been rested. In hindsight, his calming influence and leadership would've been crucial. There's no-one out there to do that. We'll have to win this one by the seat of our pants and skin of our teeth. Sure to be a rocky ride. Team full of kids.

I'm not too worried. No-one can have a crack at the manager for this one surely. Look at that back four. We need to speed up play, hit them on the break, and hope for the best. Tofu needs to be very careful.

 That is a good one.

I can't get over how bad Blind and Rojo have been... I'm fairly certain you couldn't do much worse on purpose.

We would be on the same points as City not 1 behind. But they have a game in hand.

Team has no balance. Just too many timid players. Herrara, Mata are playing small. There is no protection of the CBs. Watford is operating in free space.

Don't hit me, but I think we could use Fellaini on the pitch.

We need to get a win here, by hook or by crook. This is our golden chance to get back in the top 4 race.

    Come on...

We make everybody look good these days.

We clearly have an issue with mid to lower table teams. Our worst performances under Van Gaal have regularly come in these sort of games. I don't know if it's tacticial or we have a mentality issue but something is wrong.

Has a late Watford winner written all over it this.

Spurs and City both losing, Arsenal being held too. Assuming the results stay the same (massive assumption I know) it would be a travesty were we not to capitilize.

    Come on you Reds!
