Paul Scholes was never a good talker to say the least but he sure could score goals.

He just looks lost sometimes but he is a bulldog and if he buys in he could be a vital piece for us. With older mids like carrick and Bastian he needs to learn and apply that. In 2 or 3 years it could be ander and him in the midfield together

Happy when they get paid. They are paid pundits who believe as former players they can be critical of United and its easier for them and they don't get as much grief from social media. To me it's the easiest way out but any neutral would say after Wolfsburg goal we dominated and could have been up by 2 goals by halftime. Wolfsburg is a decent team and they had the motivation to score we didn't need to however we had another 2 decent chances for more goals but whatever this is the new United sometimes games like this will end up 3-1 4-1 or like today 2-1 the better team one enough said.Good result, but a bit nervy at the end. I realize the subs, especially Perreira (whose passes had a lot to be desired) had an effect, but taking the foot off the pedal when we achieved ascendancy made it tight.
I'm glad LVG had the confidence to put Perreira in, but was disappointed it was for Memphis. Considering how badly Rooney played, I'd rather have had the extra pace afforded by Memphis over the overelaboration that Rooney showed. If we're going to lie back & hit on the counter, we needed Memphis, not Rooney. Replace like for like (i.e. #10 for #10). Granted, a lot of this is hindsight in terms of how badly Rooney played after the substitution, but still, he was dross.First game yet I have predicted the score line correctly...including last season
