Well we have consistently looked like the worst organised team in the league since the start of last season so although replacing the manager isn't a silver bullet it doesn't seem like we have much to lose.

Shocking, isn't it? They do that thing where they run towards the ball, but then do nothing when they get there. It reminds me of my cat chasing one of those fluffy balls around the house. Doesn't know what to do when he gets there.
I'm not having that as an excuse. I'm sick of a lot of these players and they're certainly not good enough to ever compete for a title, but we have a squad full of quality players that must teams in the league would like to have playing for them, and yet they regularly get outplayed by most teams.
It's the reverse Fergie effect. He could make lesser players over perform. For years now we've had squads massively underperforming and it's because we accept mediocrity and our standards and expectations have fallen off a cliff.
