Why are you suprised that Januzaj has been left out? Look at the bench - with who you'd switch him?

Meh, went to the pub an hour earlier. Bloody time zones.

Herrera's absence is the only thing I don't agree with (I'm willing to give Blind a fair chance at LCB, despite shaky pre-season).

So yesterday van Gaal said we have no injuries. And today Phil Jones isn't even on the bench. What's happen there?

Mixed feeling about that team. Not sure I like the idea of Blind at CB and a big unknown over the keeper, means I'm not confident we won't concede. Actually rather nervous going into this match, but hopefully everything clicks together, particular the new boys going forward.

Hopefully Memphis, Mata and Young interchange behind Rooney. Hopefully Rooney doesnt drop back either and occupies their defence.

Well, he could have been on the bench instead of Pereira, as he's the more established and experienced player at the moment, but he's obviously close to a move away, in my opinion.

Pereira also deserves his sport on the bench though. He was great in USA.

Haha at all the people who played down this lineup in pre season citing it only being pre season. This lineup is absolutely stupid. 2 man midfield, herrera dropped haha. Depay as a striker?. His tinkering will cost us.

We should have enough to beat them, I honestly think it'll be frustrating though. I dont think Spurs will win, We will either blow them away or it'll be stale and boring 0-0 or 1-1.

Evans not even making the squad, not looking good for him.

Just hope we put in some entertaining match. Think we could win this one.

Something is really wrong with me but cant stand formation with 2 holding CMs,i might have some issue but when i see it in general some part of brain just goes nuclear.

    Re: Hernandez over Januzaj.

I'm predicting a tactical change of Hernandez on for Young or Mata, Rooney to 10 and Memphis wide if we are chasing a goal.

I'm a bit annoyed at that line up, how on earth is it 4-3-3 like he said he'd prefer to play? If he insists on playing 4-2-3-1, then play Memphis out wide and Mata in the middle, it's just ridiculous playing them in opposite roles. Also, we really, really need to find a place for Herrera.

Finally, get Blind the feck out of the centre of defence.

i have the little pea to be my sub :) & i'm sure he will come out by the 2nd half

Nice to see the young lads on the bench too, Periera, McNair & Johnstone.

Love to see Periera get a run out late on, massive talent.

Why is Blind playing as cb? is it because of the weird thing that we must have a left footed cb?
That. And because Rojo is not match fit. And Jones is either injured or is bad or both. Abd Evans is bad.

Here are three reasons for you.

I expected this line-up. No real surprise.
The only thing I got wrong was Romero (instead of Johnstone).

I don't think it will be 2 holding midfielders, it'll be Carrick sitting with Morgan ahead of him putting some energy into the middle freeing up Memphis to find space.

11 correct. Although i did forget about Fellaini's suspension and Januzaj isn't on the bench. My hope for another point lies on Jonesy coming on. Nice to see Chicha on the bench.

Edit: Jones not on the bench

Game hasnt started, how do you know how they are set up?

Delighted to know I'm not the only one who got tricked by Ladyman :D

Anyways. 4 players making their debuts. Don't remember this happening in a long time.

I was surprised and disappointing at Januzaj being left out, but the more I think about it, it seems more and more likely he will be sent on loan, favourites are Sunderland, it's probably because of that..
