Do you guys think pogba is going to scan his surroundings and release the ball quickly under pressure or receive the pass and try to dribble out of trouble in our own half today? Im thinking the only way we lose is through something like this.

I think Ole & the coaches will instruct Pogba not to do such things against top opposition. If you compare Pogba vs Chelsea last season (game week 1) and Pogba vs outside top 6 teams, two different Pogba. One is given more restriction while the other one is given more freedom. I don't know though, I could be wrong.

Aurier starting is a dream! Surely we will get a penalty with him on the pitch!

That midfield will be overrun . Ole has missed the trick here.

    Strongest possible eleven, no excuses.

Good line up. Glad to see Bailly getting the nod ahead of the snowcone.

That being said, Jose is going to come into this game and sit back, which is usually the sort of setup that we struggle against.

Bailly off within 30 minutes after injuring himself while heading the ball unchallenged.

Expected. Would have been strange to see Lindelof starting given the worries about his "burn out" and Bailly's good performance midweek.

At least we have some pace in that backline now. Hopefully he will stay fit.

Shaw and Wan Bissaka have pace don't they?
But you definitely need a pacey centre back, so this is welcome. We say now!

The bench looks underwhelming though, but hopefully we won't need them.

I don't think Pogba should be starting right now as he's clearly not fit, and Pogba and Matic as a double pivot is concerning at the best of times. Fred should be partnering Matic, imo.
Yeah maybe, I don't rate Hjoberg, ndombele and sissoko though. I think they'll be able to handle them. Strong case for fred.

    Strongest XIs all round

No. Our strongest XI would be Moura (not Lamela), Doherty (not Aurier) and Lo Celso (instead of Sissoko). And maybe Alderweireld instead of Sanchez.

But we've played so many games that some must be rested.

Good to see Bailly given a PL start, hopefully he performs well. Still question marks over Pogba fitness and sharpness but with the recent Jose comments he should be fired up to produce a improved performance.

Strong Spurs line up and no surprise that Son starting. At best I think United might win narrowly but I feel it will be a score draw.

Getting your excuses in early? ;)

Not sure about Pogba starting, however Spurs are not really a pressing team, so he might have some joy today...

That midfield will be all over us like a rash, though. That three man midfield gets overrun a lot in general, but Pogba clearly being unfit on top of that is a cause for concern as he'll most likely get no time to settle in possession.

Fingers crossed he's ready and we do well!

Aye, meant the centre back pairing. But Shaw is often found in the opposition half jogging back when we lose possession. Likewise, AWB doesn't always bust a gut to track back. Whereas Bailly has no problems with actual defending, he quite relishes it.

That spurs team is strong! Plus with Kane on form...I fear for us :(

Wait no fullbacks on the bench?
If one of AWB or Shaw have to come off Lindelof would come in and Bailly would shift right and AWB to LB if Shaw comes off or Bailly to RB if only AWB comes off. We should be fine. Obviously Ole wants to score more goals for the win.
