Thank you Moyes for signing Fellaini.

    We'd be fecked without him

    Young---Rooney---Mata
    -----Fellaini---Herrera
    ------------Carrick
    Blind--Jones--Smalling--Valencia
    -------------------DDG

I hope to feck its smalling at rcb though rather than the farce last week.

If we are to play 3-5-2 then I hope Carrick is the additional centre half and not Blind. Glad to see Mata back in the side, had feeling earlier on today that he would play.

I think it's still 4-2-3-1 with Mata on the right, no?
If it is I would've preferred Mata in the middle, Valencia on the wing and Rafael at RB but what do I know.

Louis van Gaal has a real fixation with Fellaini. He's had a good season but bar Newcastle he's been in an average run of form and on meritocracy he should have a turn to drop out seeing as it doesn't take much for some others too.

    ----------- DDG
    -----Smalling--Carrick--Jones
    --Valencia---Blind--Fellaini---Young
    ----------------Mata
    ----------------Rooney

    Looks like its this

Herrera is missing there. A man down against Spurs even at OT is extremely tough.

I'm so confused by this selection, I don't know who is going to play where.
I hope that the players aren't like me.

Great save by De Gea. Throws it out to Jones. Jones kicks the ball as hard as he can trying to reach Fellaini. Fellaini fecks up and Tottenham is in possession again. Will be enjoyable to watch!! Seriousley I don´t usually complain before games but chances United will be entertaining are very slim today to me. Hope I´m wrong

Hate to say it but with that line up we're probably better of with a 5 with Blind/Carrick dropping in and Mata behind Fellaini/Rooney. I think LVG is really trying to have his cake and eat it with Fellaini. If you're gonna play him up top then commit to it and play valencia/Young higher up the pitch. If you want possession play with potential for our more creative players to influence then play herrera, januzaj, mata together. I can't see any position where Mata can really play his game here. Either he's wider than he wants to be or he's playing behind two strikers who don't have pace to get in behind, one of whom is too slow to really link up with and two wingers who will stay wide and so he can't try and play them in. It's a limitation of his game sure but that's the same of all players of his ilk really.

Don't like fellaini starting again. He doesn't suit us with our other players out there. Oh well. Would be way better if it was mata behind Rooney and januzaj out wide. Pretty good other then that, looking forward to Carrick and Herrera together though.

Fellaini to score and assist, Jones&co to keep a clean sheet and Valencia to be MOTM.

Van Gaal is getting our tactics spot on, I think we'll get 2nd for sure at this rate.

    DDG
    Jones - Smalling - Blind
    Valencia - Carrick - Herrera - Young
    Fellaini - Mata
    Rooney

Disgraceful that Valencia isn't dropped after his performance vs Arsenal.

Also, it's obviously a back four. Blind at LB, Mata RW.

Mata is due a good game, glad he starting. Think too few creative players on the pitch. Not the best/worst team

I was hoping for januzaj and rafael. Pretty gutted. Especially in the case of Valencia and Fellaini... feck me, why are they playing every bloody match?

    3-5-2 ?

    DDG
    Jones-Smalling-Blind
    Valencia--------------Young
    Carrick-Herrera
    Mata
    Rooney-Fellaini

I think he will play Fellani upfront behind Rooney.

    -------------- De Gea --------------
    Valencia -- Jones -- Smalling -- Young
    --------------Carrick----------------
    -----Herrera-------------Blind-------
    -------------- Mata-----------------
    ----------------- Fellaini------------
    ----- --------Rooney ---------------

    WTF is up with Shaw?

I'm not comfortable with Blind at left back. Think he lacks pace.

Looks solid, no dribbling ability through out the entire team which can come back to haunt us though.

Don't know why people are surprised to see Fellaini starting, LVG has a habit of sticking with players no matter what and then dropping them for months.

I am assuming that both Shaw and Rojo are injured, otherwise LVG's loyalty to Blind is ridiculous. He is too slow as LB..

Or maybe Carrick will sit in the Middle of the 3 at the back & young will be left wing back.

Great save by De Gea. Throws it out to Jones. Jones kicks the ball as hard as he can trying to reach Fellaini. Fellaini fecks up and Tottenham is in possession again. Will be enjoyable to watch!! Thats the spirit we need

It's a bit of a confusing line-up for sure. I would guess 3-5-2, but it could a load of things. Wait and see I guess.

It'll be interesting to see how we line-up as putting Blind against one of their pacey wingers seems a bad idea but if it's 4-3-3 then that's where he'll be.
