Levitt likely to be on the bench? How is the squad?

    Wouldn't mind this:

    DDG
    AWB - Maguire - Tuanzebe
    Laird - McTominay - Fred - Shaw
    Lingard
    James - Rashford

But will obviously be Lindelof+Pereira for Laird+McT/Lingard.

James and Rashford are both the kind of wingers who are weak in the box (esp. James). Rashford has played as a CF, but he's pretty bad at it, especially if he's playing alone in that position. How can we ever score with this setup? James had troubles serving Martial, against Villa, who is he going to cross to in the box, with this setup?

If we are playing two CFs upfront, at least it should be Rashford - Greenwood.

    :wenger: Anyways:

    De Gea
    AWB Axel Maguire Shaw
    Pereira Fred Garner
    James Greenwood "Rashy"

This is a fairly poor side but that's not my fault!

This makes most sense considering who we have available and the setup Ole has played, but he won't do this because he still doesn't trust youth for 90 minutes. He will use Lingard and Mata or some such shit, instead.

We have to have James in the side. Basically we play a counter attacking system and without his speed, we're fecked. Rashford also provides speed on the other wing but ideally we have two options. Our central play is laughable at best with people like Pereira and Fred "passing."

Jesus shamoly that team. Hundreds of millions to get you that. At what bastid point do the Glazers look at this team and decide Woodward might not be the man for the job? Not a criticism of your team @USREDEVIL, I'd go for that as well, but hell's bells it's dire.

Right, which is why I like your system more, with Rashy and James on the wings and Greenwood instead of Martial in the center, but Ole refuses to play like that. Very annoying. We fecking lose all the time anyway, could at least give real chance to Greenwood and Garner, for a change and see what happens. Worst case - we will lose... but we do anyway, so WTF

Glazers cannot tell how many players you need on the field, without googling it. They don't know crap. All they look at is revenue and profit numbers.

Watching Sundays games in Old Trafford I found it a little odd that Martial was taken with 10 minutes to go.

Very important player but he's so injury prone. I foressee a back five played v Spurs which Jose will be delighted with, Williams maybe dropped for that one error Sunday while Ashley Error Young restored to the starting line up.

I presume the travelling squad is going to be announced tomorrow, they obviously weren't staying at the hotel tonight like usually happens before home games.

Without Martial it will be even more difficult. Just have to hope at least McTominay will be back and Greenwood will get a start with Rashford playing as CF and James as LW.

I think we will go with Mata, Pereira, Lingard all starting together.

1 error? The kid had a horrible game. He dives inn a lot, leaving his teammates exposed when he misses a tackle

Think it could be this with the front three all swapping positions during the match.

Mctominey for Pereira if he's fit.

    0-4

They got the new managers bounce and we will back to struggling for 1 goal. Ole will be gone by next week.

Spurs have been as bad if not worse than us recently. Yes they have a bit of a new manager bounce. But they have shipped 4 goals in their last two games against Bournemouth and Hammers. They are still fragile at the back but their attack is really starting to click. Alli looks back to his old self and with Kane and Son up top will always be a threat.

Dier has looked Dire, Rose has looked like he doesnt give a toss and with Davies injured he is first choice LB. And the CB's have been average to poor. If Hammers can score two against them surely we can grab a couple at home.

    Yikes, no Martial.

    Greenwood has to start.

We'll start with a 3 back and look poor from the start before we change to a 4 back at HT after losing the 1st half.

11.30 kick off on a school night here in Dubai - this had better be worth it.

Yes the one error that led to a goal. Anyone that has watched Williams at youth level knows it's his eagerness to win tackles rather than rushing in. Young and learning instead past it like Ashley Young.

Shaw is available. Why will Young start?

Hammers shipped 2 goals against us too.....

    Predict Mourinho behavior :
    1. Calm, acting as if this game is not a big deal
    2. Being respectful, clapping the fans, saying hi to the staffs
    3. Being disrespectful, ultra mad when his player gets fouled, celebrating like a mad man, taunting the fans
Winners get "I love Ole more than my own child" stickers (will be sent from China Alibaba).

I won't be able to update my lineup after some early news as I'm working, I went with

    DDG
    AWB Lindelof Maguire Shaw
    McTominay Fred
    Lingard
    James Greenwood Rashford
It's a tough one because he may as well go super defensive with 3 at the back, but I hope he at least says goodbye with a positive, attacking approach. He better not start Mata though. Hope McTominay is fit enough to start.

I’ll be absolutely shocked if we win tonight. We might shithouse a draw but a win seems outside the realms of possibility at present. We need a master motivator in our dressing-room/dugout/training pitch and, sadly for us, Solskjaer is just far too meek to be that person.

Tonight, with emotions running high and drama guaranteed with Mourinho returning, you just know Solskjaer is going to wilt and Spurs’ players will be running through brick walls for their manager. (Say what you like about Mourinho’s ‘third season syndrome’, but there’s no questioning he has his players in the palm of his hand in the initial months of his tenure.)

I’ll be stone-cold flabbergasted if we manage to win three points tonight.

    Rashford-Martial-Greenwood

    Lingard-Garner-Fred

    Williams-Maguire-Lindelof-Wan-Bissaka

    De Gea

I genuinely think 'fans' that post shit like this should receive some sort of punishment. At the moment I'm stuck on execution + blasting their remains into orbit but am open to suggestions.
Place him in a room where he has to listen to Michael Owen for 24 hours a day for a year.

I don't think we should rush any players back, especially McTominay and Pogba. We NEED them both to be fit for rest of the season once they are fully recovered.

Oh great, 3 at the back tonight and probably in the derby. Defensive, disjointed football whilst hoping to nick a goal. Yet Ole claims that the fans he speaks to are happy with the work being done.

To be fair he's just lost his striker again and has a thread bare midfield. Being forced into a back 3 rather than wanting to play it.

Rather than play 3 at the back I would prefer we put Wan-Bissaka in front of 2 CBs. Then we could play Shaw and Williams as attacking FBs and 5 attacking players in front of Wan-Bissaka.

Fair play Jose in the interview shown on Amazon there. He was very respectful about us. He seems chirpier. As we know, it always starts that way, but it's nice to see him like that again.
Just wait till they play Chelsea. Doubt the crowd will be as respectful

Probably something like Liverpool for the starting XI (without the injured ones)

I think that one of Matic or Mc Tominay will start

    ------------------------------------De Gea------------------------------------
    -------------------Lindelof---Maguire---Tuanzebe----------------
    AWB-------McTo/Pereira----Matic-Pereira------Fred------Young
    ------------------------Rashford----James-------------------------------

not sure why everyone is going 3 at the back. Ok if Martial is out then we will probably play Rashford, James and Lingard anyhow. McTom is supposed to be back. Think we will go 4-3-3
    De Gea
    AWB Lindelof Magure Young
    No Pogba, Martial or Mctominay.

This game is officially Ole's first real test.
McTom is supposed to be back?
