This is going to be a really interesting game. Mourinho is the ultimate pragmatist, he knows the opposition as well as any team on the planet and is looking to prove a point. A number of our players will be looking to prove a point as well, not least Martial, who I feel will have a big game after a couple of lacklustre performances.

If Dier plays I'd expect us to get a result if he doesn't then anything could happen. They have one of the worst defences in the league but one of the best forward lines. Expect a high scoring game.
    4-3 Martial brace.

Since all our fit number 10's are woefully out of form, I'd prefer that we just lined up with a flat 3 in midfield and give Garner a chance alongside Fred and McTominay. I've seen enough of Pereira, Lingard and Mata. I'm also not so sure about a back 3 either. That experiment went horribly sideways against Sheffield United, with the team all over the place.

I don't want to see Pereira either, I'd give Garner, Levitt or Gomes a chance in a midfield 3, I just think he'll start for sure given Ole's defending him. I think what went wrong was Jones, but either way I feel we have to get Axel in there as he compliments Maguire better than Lindelof IMO.

3-0 Spurs, quite possibly making Ole’s position untenable, is my view on how this game will go. Spurs have their mojo back, United remain mentally fragile, Spurs have a much better team.

Yeah I think its gonna get embarrassing. I can see 3 pretty quick fire goals for them, their attack is looking clinical - they'll cut our defence and non-existent midfield to shreds and Jose will have them fired up to do so and really hurt us. Our players on the contrary, lack the spine and fire to be 'up for it' really - they seem content to have no pressure on them and just meander along safe in the knowledge that they, and their boss, is going to mainly avoid criticism.

I just think the lack of midfield and leaders, along with Mourinho, make this a perfect storm. I do believe the selected players are giving their all, but the “run more” summer fix hasn’t worked out as hoped....

    DDG
    AWB - Maguire - Tuanzebe
    McT - Garner - Fred - Williams
    James - Martial - Rashford

Subs: Pereira - Lingard - Greenwood (for his obligitory 8-10 minutes of garbage time)

The club is having difficulties selling all the tickets I heard, they are also sending notification to people to remember the match!

Dont think our players have the mentality or will to want to prove a point to Jose.

I expect our team to feel sorry for themselves while Jose's on the sidelines rubbing his hands watching on as Spurs continue to pummel us into submission.

Mate, it's amazing how gullible a lot of our fans are. This "quite a bit away" will continue to be "quite a bit away" until the window opens and he leaves. This has been obvious for quite some time and I was matter of factly told myself, he's going in January. It's so obvious to anyone who isn't running on blind delusion - he'll never wear a red shirt again.

It's amazing how thick some are.....Here's an easy bet, since you're so convinced he's leaving. If pogba leaves in jan, i'll feck off for good, if he stays you'll feck off for good.

    Great.

    Thanks.

Oh and it's not going to be much of an interesting match unless Tottenham bottle this bigtime. They have a superior squad and their key players are fit, while we can't even field a midfield containing more than one centre midfielder as the rest of our midfielders are injured.

Amazon are showing every game live at the same time kick off.
    It’s the future!
Like a cock I’m out playing football and will miss it.

A twinge in your hammy and suddenly you have to stay at home ;)

    So martial is injured. Again.

    back to scoring no goals.

We'll see Periera, Fred, Lingard and Mata all starting tomorrow, with Rashford leading the line.

    Gonna be great.

Fair play Jose in the interview shown on Amazon there. He was very respectful about us. He seems chirpier. As we know, it always starts that way, but it's nice to see him like that again.

That could be Ole’s death knell.

No Pogba + no Martial = no goals

It is believed United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will once again adopt a formation featuring three centre halves, as Jose Mourinho returns to Old Trafford for the first time since he was sacked almost a year ago.

Sky saying we'll play with 3 CBs tomorrow.

How does our star star player get injured during training, FFS?

What the hell is wrong with our fitness staff that our players are injured so often and they get injured even off the field? It's ridiculous at this point and extremely troublesome. We are in big trouble against Spurs and City without our only real, experienced central forward.

Imagine Jose holding up 3 fingers to the crowd
I don't think he would ever do that. The same crowd stood by him in the same fixture last year. I would love to see him point fingers towards the executive box though.

Sadly I see us winning this and Ole buying more time.
I genuinely think 'fans' that post shit like this should receive some sort of punishment. At the moment I'm stuck on execution + blasting their remains into orbit but am open to suggestions.

    Fecking bizarre really.
Like,as a United fan how can you not want the team to win ?

From bad to worse, I'm speaking in verse!

    Wouldn't mind this:

    DDG
    AWB - Maguire - Tuanzebe
    Laird - McTominay - Fred - Shaw
    Lingard
    James - Rashford

But will obviously be Lindelof+Pereira for Laird+McT/Lingard.

Daniel James and Rashford as wide forwards. Like we played Liverpool at home. Problem is we have Fred and Perreria in midfield. Think Lingard needs to play this one and use as advanced midfielder to join in attack with James and Rashord when going forward. 3-4-1-2.

Shaw as a effective offensive wingback only works well in football/soccer games.
