    Pogba is shit again.

Lingard, Fred, Herrera, Tony, Shaw are trying hard and doing their best.

It is really disheartening to see someone with so much talent as Pogba, being so disengaged. He doesn't give a shit.

Also, given his number, stature and 4 letter name, does anyone else keep thinking Fred is Nani from afar?

This was before the game. Twitter was full of incredibly knee-jerk reactions like this. Guess most of them are red-faced now. I accept Jose has faults, but give him a chance ffs.

There is nothing wrong with how we play but we have arses and donkeys on the pitch. Jose's plan, now I think, was perfect but our team is Shit

Enjoyable half of football. It's so much better when we have some intensity in our play! The sort of back 3 thing has been ok. We have more players in more useful positions more of the time. Hopefully we keep at it 2nd half.

Lukaku is so loose in possession. I have no confidence in him to keep the ball moving.

Haha, wtf? Pogba has been one of our best players this half. And we’ve been pretty good

Really? You honestly think so? He's taking forever on the ball. He loses the ball, shoots from impossible range. Nah, if you think this is his good level then I'm lost for words. He's not been dreadful, but I've been thinking that he really doesn't look like our best player.

Smalling has been immense. Jones is the liability, not Smalling. Valencia offers us so much more down that right flank than Young or Darmian. Herrera has been good, Fred is fun to watch. Lukaku needs to improve. Lingard and Shaw are our best players. Who would have thought that two years ago?

That Moura stamp on Jones: did he walk free on that? Much worse than Nani's read card against RM!

Played better, much more tempo. Ironically the only couple of times they bothered us was when we sat a bit deeper. I'd like to see more movement and the midfielders working harder to make angles for the defenders playing the ball out. We have moments of great off the ball movement and then others where we just stand looking at the ball player (Herrera standing watching Pogba surrounded highlights this). All in all we've been much better to watch and actually showing attacking intent makes us better defensively. Just need the goal.

Edit: also Jose isn't to blame for us ignoring obvious overlaps for worse options ala Pogba not playing Shaw in at the end there and trying to shoot himself.

Good display but again not taking chances. Lukaku has to decide whether he wants be recognized as a great striker or world class striker. Right now he falls in the former.

Better than our performance vs Brighton, though we didn't close the half well.

Sometimes our midfielders are getting way too isolate deep in our half. Need to rectify that.

It'd be nice if Lukaku could score on an open net....

Finally a squad that look like they actually want to play for United. Shaw has been excellent delighted for him.

More entertaining than most of our games. Shows the problem is mainly tactical.

We've been so lucky not to be 1nil down. Spurs should have had a penalty and they are getting too many opportunities in our box.

Pogba has been awful. Strutting around like an asshole and just putting his foot on the ball - Not even pushing on for the counter when he's had the chance, missed an easy chance to lay Lingard in.

Him and Lukaku have killed us. We'd be cruising this shit if they were at it. Alexis would have suited this game as the striker. I'd happily see both them taken off. Fred, Lingard and Shaw have caused them no end of problems but these feckers have let them down. We've actually played pretty well - Pressing high and attacking with pace. Both sides have forced errors.

Some big mistakes at the back - Any long pass has caused problems. No one can deal with Lucas' pace and there's been some poor errors from Jones, Matic and Pogba which should have been punished. Great recovery tackles from Herrera and Smalling and the ref not giving the pen have bailed us out.

De Gea's distribution is one of the biggest problems in the team. Every week it's just getting worse.

Pogba and Lukaku have killed anything positive we have managed to create. Dire

Pogba has been utter shit, as has Lukaku

Agree on Pogba, but I'd like to see Lukaku given the chance to atone. I suspect he'd like that challenge.

Time for Pogba to start caring more about his performance rather than Barca and his fat agent.

Don't want to be harsh on Lukaku, I love him but it's inevitable that in 2-3 years we'll have to improve on him. He's a good stop gap till a top striker is available tbh.
@James Peril - just from the last few posts!

Fred looks absolutely quality, finally a signing that is working out.
Yeah he does. People said Pogba’s struggling because of his midfield partners, but Matic is about as solid as you can get, and Fred is an energetic, skilful box to box spark. What else does he need to start impressing?

great performance so far. We would have tanked Brighton if we had played just half as well as this.

    Pogba has been dreadful.

    Lingard has been everywhere.

Lukaku needs a slap for missing an open goal, the angle wasn't that bad.

Smalling and especially Herrera have defended well.

    Jones is a moron.

    Fred is Brazilian.

Herrera has been all over the place. Needs to remember hes not playing in midfield. He's chasing the ball and leaving massive holes in the left channel.

I love that we re finally playing with some real intent again. It hasn't felt like a chore this time around, despite some players being sloppy.

I know some of you will find fault in Shaw but wow what a revival for him. Almost single handedly pulling us forward - same with Fred.

I really am a patient person. But our lack of basic technical ability on the ball just deflates me. Not one person in our team seems have any sort of ability on the ball.

Still, some positives. More intensity, shaw has been very good. Has been my player of the match so far. Smalling a close second. Lingard was lingard. Lukaku and pogba not good enough. The rest, meh.

You’re not the only one who gets frustrated at the lack of basic technical attributes from our players.

Touches are heavy, passes never the right weight and into the path of the recipient’s run, players who don’t understand the concept of moving after a pass.

Worse still, we seem to take good players and make them worse as soon as they run through the door.

Shaw has been our heart and engine. Brilliant. Lukaku and matic look rusty but I’m very glad we have these 2 Mourinho players. Matic is so so important.

Considering the chance against Brighton and the one tonight Lukaku has got to do a lot better, you get away with those when you're 2/3 up but both times it's been at 0-0 and would have given us a great foothold in the game, frustrating.

Pogba and Lukaku have been either shit or just plain ineffective.

Herrera, Shaw, Lingard and Fred have been great.

    We should score.

Really great first half, but I am sure some people will find something to moan.

A shame that Lukaku did not score that big chance or one of the other good chances went in.

    Shaw is fantastic so far.

He's having a great game. I don't wanna jinx anything but if he keeps it up he will get MOTM.

Really enjoyed that, thought we were unlucky.

Can't ask for anything more … then come on here

    This place is poisonous :nono:

There have been negatives without question. Pogba on the whole has been poor and we lack composure at both ends of the pitch, but it's been far better than anything we've produced since the FA semi. Haters gonna hate.

Matic is far from ready it seems, needed another week in training. Andreas would have been a good choice to have on the bench for this game really

Good first half that. Wonder if they watched the ladies team and recalled what United was about. 10 shots in 1 half, oh my word, I feel spoiled, loving it.

People slagging our defenders. How has Toby looked at the other end with Utd missing multiple chances?
