exactly. it's what you do with the ball and where you have the possession that countsI would say bring martial on the left and have sanchez playing where lingard is. Think lingard has touched the ball like 5 times that half, and sanchez can provide the same amount of energy with more end product easily. His goal was essentially from that position as well. Lukaku had moments but with the amount of long balls being played he has been pretty absent considering his size. Defensively we are all over the place. Things keep up there are def goals in this second half for sure.
The one big thing to see is that spurs are attacking all 3 channels-down the left, right, and middle. This is causing us to get stretched at the back at times, and really opening things up for spurs. Amazing what happens when a team doesn't try to all occupy the same 10x10 square in the left central area...Think both teams have been good.We have t contributed much to the match in an attacking sense, Erikssen has been excellent
They are equally worse. I watching on Fox now but my god wish i could cut those commentator throat.Spurs players seem to have so much space and time on the ball, and we are just content with occasional counter attacks and crosses. But good spirit to get on level terms after going behind.Slow to start, not aggressive enough, did well to stick in and get an equaliser.
Ref dreadful. Valencia card is fine but must have been over half a dozen sneaky, niggly fouls that he lets go.... pushes, holding, sneaky kicks. Almost as bad as the Spurs loving BBC (and no, that's not being precious, they're fecking awful).

It's a totally even game.I'd love Jose to sign Eriksen, the guy is pure class. Lost count of the amount key passes he made in that first half.
He ain't on the bench lad.Valencia is terrible going forward but at least he looks fine defensively. Look at Young so, terrible on both sides of the pitch and even struggling to get out from the defense with the ball.Spurs look dangerous every single time they attack, seem to create a good chance every time.

We've had a couple of spells. They've had the majority of the game IMV. They've also had the better of the ref's decisions. We've grown into the game though, in fairness.

Not necessarily as we prioritize defending in games of this magnitude and so they are likely to see more of the ball anyway. We just need to be 100% in terms of concentration and ruthless on the counter. Players like Eriksen need to be man marked. Not sure about Dembele and Dier.
By the way I love how we responded to their early goal. This team is adding some real character and that's very good to see.Need to bring on Rashford or Mata for Lingard.It's obvious Valencia needs replacing though. Adds nothing in attack. He used to make up for that by defending but even that is going downhill fast.It’s a well balanced match. I am not sure why we are allowing them to dominate the midfield. Is it that their players are better there or is it a deliberate strategy? Either way, we need to gain control of that midfield fast.Had to go out after their goal. How have we been?Lingard off for Rashers or Martial and we should be able to finish them off!If we could actually play the ball out from behind we would look quite a team.
This, and I think Ander has been given a job on him, probably why Jose was going mad on the touchline.
Smalling has been our most consistent center back this season. He has been bailed out by Jones on numerous occasions today though.
