Don't think that changes the situation even a bit as his intention was to interfere with the play and he actually did that.If Rojo did not touch it, then it should have been disallowed (indirect free kick due to obstruction). Not to mention the potential offside as well.

We are playing with a back four with three in midfield, if we lose possession with them forward there's no cover so they can't get forward to often.
