Young and Valencia as fullbacks wont help us from set pieces... At least Fellaini can help in that department.

Wasn't fit enough to start either really. LvG said he wouldn't have been on the bench last weekend normally but needed to because of other injuries.

I'm confident that it will with it only being a few days later. Valencia, Young, and Fellaini have all been playing very well recently. I'm slightly concerned with how the lack of Rooney with affect our play in the middle of the pitch and our structure as Rooney is such a big presence on the pitch but I'm staying positive for now. With RvP playing again after only 3 days, I reckon Falcao will get a longer game today. Obviously he's still not fit to start but I reckon he'll get 30 minutes plus.

Nbc are showing United vs Stoke here in the U.S.. Rest of the games are watchable on their site in HD. As an ex-pat I'm amazed that it's easier to watch matches here than back at home. What's the rationale for this? Trying to protect match attendances?

Is there any information on Rooney? (Sorry i haven´t been on the internet for two days). Didn´t it just look like a knock he picked up against Hull? I guess he will be back the next game

Have to feel sorry for Andreas Pereira. He had a run of games where he was constantly on the bench even against the likes of Chelsea. Now Fletcher is being selected ahead of him?

Pereira is only 18 but already a better footballer as Fletcher has regressed so much with his illness. He could do a "Pogba" if he isn't given some chances soon which would be a shame as he is a great prospect. On the other hand Fletcher is finished at the top level and needs to be let go in the summer.

Slid into the advertising boards and hobbled off right at the end. Rooney said himself that he'll be fine for this game but Van Gaal probably doesn't want to risk it.

That's the rationale with NFL football, but I think it could be more about NBC trying to entice people who took work off today/still hungover to watch a little footy

If I'd seen this line up last season, in the main I wouldn't have had much confidence for a win. This season I'd be surprised if we don't pick up the 3 points.

With all these injuries I cant wait for the end of the season where most of the "pundits" will conveniently forget about our injury curse and moan at how poor we have been in relation to Chelsea/City/Money Spent etc... and watch as everyone just laps it up like its gospel.

Very happy to see herrera play. I think he was very good in our last game. Too bad falcao isn't fit enough to start. I hope he'll get some minutes today though! He needs to play to regain his form...

Although missing Rooney is big I don't think it is as big as previous seasons. We have so many good individuals now and a midfield who can do the work he was having to do.
