It is a pile of shite. No-one really wanted VAR looking at hairline offside decisions, if it had to come in, use it for the obvious errors, when injustices are being done.
Yes - "technically correct" just doesn't feel in the spirit of football, but here we are. It's hard to argue with "technically correct" though - I guess if somethings correct it's correct? The rule itself is what needs looking at.
