Shaw once again having a very good game
Feck off defending a player who offers less enthusiasm for this club than both of us.
Was clearly a pity decision. Shows the issue with VAR is the people behind it not the technology. What happened to clear and obvious also? The VAR usage is so so bad in England
His foot is still treading on his foot during the whole thing though. Every other game this season they talk how shirt pulls that continue into the box are pens? So why not tackles?
They just showed the replay.
It was on the feckin line!!

I think he was “100%” sure it was a pen. If it had been an even game I’d be furious.
How could watching the replay for the VAR ref not do anything but confirm it was on the line!?They just showed the replay.

Well if you're referring to the penalty then I must defend Dean: he gave the correct decision but VAR overruled him.Deans had a mare here. Didn't play advantage and gave the wrong decision (most probably because we're winning)
I know they are down to 10 men, but the intensity of our performance has been exactly what was required in the last 2 games. I suppose the more players on the pitch running for every ball and hunting it back when we lose it, is infectious. This slight modification in attitude makes a world of difference.
Attach an IQ test with a result below 80.How can I apply to be a VAR candidate?
In a way it would be more fair with a pen even if the ball was outside the box ...Strange that VAR overruled him. VAR is such a clusterfeck,
Law 12 states if a foul continues into the box then a penalty kick is given, I'm sure. Its where it occurred from.
The contact is outside the box and Cavani’s foot then plants and slips onto the line.
VAR correct but he shouldn’t have blown so quickly.
The refs and the FA are on our payroll.
It wouldn’t have been a red. He made an attempt to make.a tackle nor was he the last manShould’ve looked at the advantage. Southampton were saved by that whistle. It was a penalty and borderline red card too, because the tackle continued inside the box.
Great point. Christ they’re implementing this so badly.
There was an interview with him on Talksport and he said him and his team are 'nice lads' and maybe need to be in the officials ears a bit more. That being nice goes against them.We are getting a lot of wrong decisions now. Ole has to be a bit more vocal and try to be on refs head.
As you say 9/10 that’s given as a penalty, if it’s on the line it’s always a pen, but suddenly they decide it isn’t? 1 clear replay and the defenders foot is on the line it’s just pathetic and they’re not held to any standards. Was clearly a pity decision. Shows the issue with VAR is the people behind it not the technology.
Was the foul at some point on the line/inside the box? Yes. Stonewall peno.
Mike Dean
