Yes, it constitutes dangerous play, and is called a foul all over the pitch. If it wasn't, you'd tell a Zlatan to taekwondo the shit out of everyone in box. And then it'd be a different sport altogether. A stray elbow would normally also be called a foul, but it's a more natural occurrence, and more subjective.

A knee to the face at that height is not subjective at all.

Quite simply to me because if their player jumps and tries to get it and competes in the air, he doesn't get battered by Lindelof and instead they just crash into each other like any normal aerial duel. You stand still while opponents are running and jumping for the ball... I don't know what else can happen other than getting clattered?
