Reading at Old Trafford is also a freebie. We have games every weekend and midweek for the next month. At the end of this run is Barca twice, and Newcastle in the cup final. To get us tired out in easy games is just stupid/negligence tbh.

It's something he'll learn from, whatever. I hope he tosses the Europa League in the trash and ignores it. Because we need to be at full fitness to beat Newcastle in the cup as I'd actually be pissed off if we lost that.
Some staggering arrogance here. Drop your phone number here, so ETH can get in touch to get some more footballing wisdom from you.

Probably just under half of the days we either have for full training and/or matches are actual match days this season, thanks to our performance in the cups filling in our schedule. If the manager wants the players to practice their coaching principles, they pretty much have to practice it in actual matches as opposed to on the training ground. They aren’t going to come together as a team playing one match a week and only otherwise having one or two training sessions, with the remainder being rest/recovery days

    It's not

How is rotating mutually exclusive with winning and taking each game at a time? Especially against Reading. Also, who questioned him being in charge?

I hope nobody although it wouldn't surprise me.

Am I mishearing this ITV piece or am I insane in thinking Ince wasn’t the first black manager in the EPL?

Maguire stealing a living as club captain again. Why not just give it to Bruno ffs? He has to be the least worthy United captain I can remember. You got Ronaldo, Casemiro, Varane, Bruno, DDG on the pitch and this guy wears the armband. I wouldn't mind so much if he did the post matches when we feck up.
The purpose of club captains in modern football essentially boils down to organising the Christmas party

Some prize dopes in this thread. Unsurprisingly.

Just accept the fact that you havent a feckING clue whats going on behind the scenes.

The lads could be sitting in recovery chambers and classrooms doing tactics and feck all physical training for all you know.

Hopefully we get 2-3 goals first half and then rest some of the players, dont want to risk any injuries.

Our next premier league game is a week away at home to Palace. Resting not too vital
It's not so much resting but reducing the chances of injuries. We're fecked if Rashford or Bruno pull a hammy in a game where they didn't need to play.

To be fair even if they aren't I'd say it makes sense to play a stronger team tonight and rest them midweek.

Strong line up whilst still getting a few a rest. Hopefully get a decent lead and give Pellestri some proper game time.

If they're gonna do tone they're gonna do one, and it's beter to do it in this game rather than a PL one

Gullit was there at least a decade before, for one.

Ince was the first black ENGLISH manager in the premier league.

Who is this Fernandez on loan from us to PNE? I’m completely drawing a blank on him.

Surprising how the pairing of Maguire and Lindelof still makes me nervous!

I’m sorry but I think that’s a bit if a stupid lineup from Ten Hag. It was said a lot before he joined that he abstains from rotation, but we have a mammoth run at the moment and any of these players getting injured could derail us. And this is Reading at home.

By all means, don’t play the U21 side, but must Bruno or Rashford play every single game?

man i get wanting to drill into the players heads the winning mentality but my lord we have some massive games coming up and we can't keep playing casemiro, eriksen and rashford in every match.

hopefully we can get up a couple goals and these guys can come off at half

Maybe a good thing that Martinez is not playing. The tall Andy Carroll would try to challenge his height.

ETH not for resting players is he? Hopefully no injuries for the likes of Rashford, Casemiro, Bruno, Eriksen this game is put to bed early and they are taken off
