    Fred still looks the weakest link to me. They are compact in defence and needs erikssons guile to open them up.
    we have had zero width on the left for half the game even Malacia was playing far to centrally. A few balls played wide left went in to acres of space with no one about.
    Rashfords looked sharp, i exepect more from Anthony.
    Casamiro classy again.
     
    We're probably winning this in the second half but we have to be wary of the counter. Lindelolf is slow so we don't have much recovery pace at the back.
     
    We've been much improved on terms of style just no cutting edge
     
    Typical that we can't be clinical

    Really needed to smash 3 in first half and than get some reserves and young ones in to rest for a strict schedule

    ETH wants first place in the group and it is important so we don't risk meeting a relegated CL team. So not many chances to other players given in second half I reckon

    Yeah, the narrative has been strange. Played decently (outside of one Dalot brainfart and one Martinez slip), made plenty of chances and had pretty shit finishing and a keeper making 2-3 very creditable stops.

    Better finishing and/or worse keeping and it's 3-0 and the narrative is we're cruising and don't need to leave third gear.
     
    They've had the best chance to be fair if he just played it across. We've had a lot of snatch shots and good possibilities hit wildly.

    The Rashford chance was our best and that came from their defender giving the ball away just outside the area and Rashford got played in.
     
    Thought we were robbed a penalty. That challenge on Malacia was a foul.
     
    We had many chances, mainly Casemiro and Rashford. Very unlucky not to be some 2 goals up. But Fred and Dalot are very poor today
     
    We've played well enough to lead. Keep playing the way we have and stop with the mistakes (looking at you Dalot) at the back and we'll win this, might take some time. If we can get the breakthrough early on it'll be comfortable. Just need one of those chances to go in.

    Not sure, the Fred header looks worse and worse on each viewing.
     
    Last week we had to bring Martial and Rashford off the bench to get us goals, tonight Rashford starts he's done OK maybe our best player with Casimero, who's coming off the bench to get us a goal tonight, Antony we're is he supposed to be playing? Either to narrow or to wide there is no space for him to play we've had players like that before, this guy was bought to out play the opposite full back . Need more from him.
    Come on lads have to do it in 2nd half.

    Casemiro and Rashford have been the best so far.

    Bruno, Dalot and Fred the worst.

    Yeah I think EtH takes him off in the second half. Sancho can do what he's doing plus when you have possession Sancho's value goes up.

    Malacia is elite as a defender. He's having a fantastic game so far. And this is the level of game where it's appropriate to develop his offense.

    Issue here is when Ericksen goes off more is on Bruno's back and he can't handle the load. He needs to be subbed by Ericksen and things should be good.

    I'd leave Fred out there and let him get his minutes and work his game.
     
    Anyone catch that Fred scissor challenge near the end of the half or was that just my imagination?

    Also, Bruno and Dalot have been very poor, fortunately for Dalot he's not much competition but i can see Bruno getting dropped if this carries on, so wasteful.
     
    A bit too much posession. How do we make the opposition take some without going a goal down :D

    It's mainly Savage - it's no one's fault that for whatever reason he walked into the game with sky high expectations and expected a 10-0 score after 1 half. Huge disrespect to the opposition
     
    Clinical finishing isn't the first attribute that comes to mind when one is asked to describe United's strengths.

    Malacia, an elite defender?! Early to be making that statement!
     
    It's still early in his career but Casemiro has been class. I think we are seeing the difference a real world class DM can make. He is winning back the ball a lot and I'm surprisingly impressed by his range of passing
     
    Malacia has done really well I thought. People comparing him to AWB are a joke. He's very good on the ball, literally just needs to get his overlapping movement improved but in possession is very good.
