Bruno is going nowhere. Expect massive changes this summer. I realise I sound like every Pool fan did during their wander in the wilderness, but I believe we'll be looking at a very new and improved team next season. It's likely players of Bruno's calibre will be fundamentally aware of this.
He's a lively player at times but I don't really see it with him tbh. Many think they could become like city someday when everything clicks but I don't think they've spent the money well at all. Very poor today.
He also got away with a possible penalty and still needed Casemiro to bail him out with a great tackle and some luck.

We are still erratic and make some easy mistakes here and there but at least we are quite solid. Newcastle have not had a lot of chances.

Exactly, we're not even playing that good but we're 1-0 ahead (with some luck) and have largely contained them outside our box. It's levels above our general play this season and all he had to do was say 'hey guys we don't need to press them as a front 4 anymore, let's just go at them a bit zonally and have a mid block'.

Amad is doing really well today. The way he plays he's kinda unpredictable in a positive way: he can play on the wings, but also likes to drift inside and play as a false nine. Opponents don't like that.
He also has a lot in his locker technically . He's not that one dimensional like Antony. He can create his own chances.
Basically, to me Amad is first choice for next season and Antony is his cover.

I think Garnacho is just an entirely different player. His strength is in his pace, dribbling and above all directness. That causes panic in defences but he’s still currently too raw it make it pay off. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up a 20 goal a season player though with the way he plays and how much he’s continued to develop.As I said before, Casemiro can't really run, but was left as a center back with open space in front of him forcing him to be ot of position because erickson, who also cannot run, was in front of him.
Now with two actual mobile players, even if amarabat is not the level of player we should have, he can focus on dfence and not be caught out so easily.
That is all down to the manager. He makes our players look worse than they are.

Garnacho just needs to look up and pass occassionally, he doesn't need to change his game or become more like a pocket player - you'd lose all his strengths.
But he whines and people are embarrassed cause they are worried about what other fans had pundits think theh keeping our most productive and probably consistent since he joined ..
