Amad shining, he should have played a lot more games.
Bruno very involved. Amrabat in midfield looks strong and very tidy passing. Again under used when we were struggling in midfield.Amad and Mainoo with great feet in that move....

So if City with the FA Cup and we finish 7th we get Conference league, if we finish 8th we dont.

I really wouldnt mind the being in the Europa but the Conference league we should avoid like the plague. Just an unnecessary set of fixtures that will slow us down next seaosn.

all doing well, Mainoo looked shocked when he got the ball and just sort of passed it in thinking he was offside.That was okay. Think that's about it though. No way we survive another 45 mins playing like that without conceding.Mainoo really is a rolls Royce of a footballer. Some of his play has been exceptional..
Playing a midfield and not leaving a huge abyss of space in the middle of the pitch might be a factor there.

Amrabat is not good enough, but its clear to see how we are setting up with a player of his 'mould' in midfield.Amrabat is a good player. The problem is you'd normally miss Casemiro's height on set pieces and would need to compensate by bringing McTominay in most likely. Amrabat and McTominay is a different prospect.Amad x Mainoo is so good
Gordon has been their best player today. He’s a tad underrated to be honest.First half has ended and a lot of positives.
- Lovely assist from Amad and lovely goal from Mainoo.
- To me Amad is a starter on the right.
- Casemiro is a beast today. Good to see. Bailed us out twice (last ditch tackle and off the line header)
- Bruno likes his space in midfield
- Good possession and good link up plays.
- Bar that absolute brainfart, Amrabat is doing well in midfield. Having extra bodies in midfield helps control our play and protects our back four.
Big negative: Newcastle should gotten a penalty. No doubt about that. Casemiro's tackle was world class, but before that Amrabat did clip that Newcastle player.
I would bring Sancho back and rotate him with Garnacho
