Sorry I meant at Wembley. They expect you to go straight in or drop you somewhere to get a beer etc? Just curious.
Oh right sorry. They usually drop us off on the huge car park next to the stadium along with the other 1000 coaches which makes it fun finding your coach after the game. Often takes a good hour to get off that car park on the way back so no rush I guess. The last few official ones I've been on have arrived 1.5-2 hours before the game so not all that long to mingle given beers aren't served in the hour before kickoff in the fan parks.

So weird how we used to take these games for granted. In the old days you’d find yourself in a league cup final before you’d even taken much notice.

I’d go rashford, sancho and Antony as front 3 but I know he’ll pick weghorst. It’s easy to take him off and change tactics. I think it’s because Weghorst chases down players and tires them out and then we can bring on fresh legs.

Is Rashford fit for the final? Didn’t look right after his collision last night.

Did rashford go of injured or was he taking off as a caution last night?

Definitely not an injury, but took a slight knock and had tightened up. So would be surprised if 2 days of recovery doesn't do the trick.

Its far better to wish for the best! rather than worry and dread the final.

So I'm hoping for a Weghorst winner! Give him that cult hero style moment!

This game will be season defining. A loss would present an opening for catastrophic consequences. We must win, one way or another.
A loss would be a loss, nothing more. We are bound to lose something along the way. What matters is to keep trying.

Rashford may not be fit for the final. If so, could be a front line of Sancho, Wout and Antony.

Just saw that Spurs v Chelsea are playing before us on Sunday?

North London is going to be carnage

I worry Newcastle will make this a really drab affair. 0-0 and we get done on penalties or something.

Honestly don't think this should define the season as some are saying, we want to win it but what defines us is where and how we finish in the league.

Ten Hag finally doing what I've called on him to do and use the press conferences to pressure the opposition and the referees. That's what winners do

If Karius is in goal I doubt they'd want to go to pens. I think they will go all out attacking, with Saint-Maximin and Isak in great form lately. Even with 10 men they looked dangerous every time they got on the ball vs the scousers.

Rashford may be a doubt, so let's work on the basis that he will be unavailable. Garnacho, and Sancho will have roles, possibly starting... I worry about Sancho, he just seems a little lost right now... is a he a leader? Does he want to be part of a highly motivated, ambitious, demanding football team?

he's had some issues and I just wonder how this will all settle. I feel, right now, that he needs to be part of a good side, rather than being expected to inspire a team to be better.

But as has been stated by many of RedCafe.. we cannot rely on Rashford's form, and our other attacking players have to step up... not just playing, but looking to be match-winners, goalscorers. No bigger stage than a Wembley final.

Good. Hope Newcastle don’t get away with all their shithousery that they’ve been so successful with this season. That, and a wet wipe of a ref that lets it all go is the only way they stand a chance.

Very worried about Rashford and Casemiro's knocks. Rashford, especially, looks a big doubt. Hopefully he'll be fit but I'm fearing he'll be on the bench at best in an 'only use if necessary' role.

The likes of Sancho, Antony and Garnacho have all made bigger impacts as subs rather than as starters so some of those really need to step up from the start if Rashford is out.

I'm also not sure what to do with the CM, as Casemiro and Fred both played 90 minutes yesterday but not sure I'd like to rely on Sabitzer starting ahead of either in a final as he's still really getting up to speed with us. Maybe bring him in along with the other two to add fresh legs to our team if fitness is any concern? Although I wouldn't like to switch formation in a final with a 'false nine' like Fernandes leading the line.
