    What does that actually mean?

We take part in a number of competitions season in, season out, all of which are 'proper' trophies to be won. The idea that only two matter and that the Europa League, FA Cup, League Cup, etc, are 'noise' is a weird attitude that I don't even understand. What's just 'noise' about the major domestic cups, or the second biggest European competition?
Nothing to someone with a brain. My view is these "fans" care more about bragging rights and one-upmanship than anything else. They invest this place with negative bullshit cuz their mates teams are more successful. Their opinion is worth absolutely nothing.

Wout over Sancho or Sabitzer is quite strange imo. Especially after having to be hauled off mid-game 3 days ago for being utterly ineffective. The insistence with him is a bit baffling. I would certainly opt for Sabitzer if I wanted more energy and Sancho if I wanted more creativity. Anyway, it is what it is.

You want Sancho in the middle after that last performance? Weghorst at least brings some presence there.

    Eactly!

I also think that if Weghorst is going to play, then he needs to start. He's not really the type who you're going to bring on to change the game.

Assuming the leaked team is correct, we will have Sancho and Garnacho to bring on as attacking threats.
Who both perform better when they aren’t starting in any case.

Not sure what Wout has to do to get dropped but other than that, good team.

Happy with that line up. :)

Delighted that Rashford - and Casemiro - are able to start. Maybe would have gone with AWB over Dalot - who hasn't yet got back to his pre-World Cup form - but not much between them.

There was a thought of going with Sabitzer along with Casemiro and Fred for extra energy and mobility, but I'm glad we've stuck with our usual mix of a front four. Didn't fancy Garnacho as a starter in a big cup final, but glad we've got him and Sancho to come off the bench later in the game.

Nervous as hell. Come on United!

You are an optimistic chap arent ya?

fecking hell no point showing up Erik lad. Old Pascell here has us figured out!!
Why, because I said if the game is open and we afford them space to run in behind they can sucker punch us?

No need to turn up today, Old Ramshock is Mystic Meg and knows how this one plays out, football is a simple game apparently.

Wout starting is great to see, feel more confident now, let's go lads!

Some people view themselves as connoisseurs who only recognise the PL and UCL as true wins. They're too unself-aware to release they sound like pompous fools who think they know more than SAF, Pep and Mourinho, who have all valued the trophy.

    Well said.

Would have thought we’d go with AWB over Dalot against St Maximim. Still happy with that lineup. I expect Rashford to go up front second half.

Will be attack attack from the start. Great to see no injuries since Barca.

Strongest team available although I thought Sabitzer might have started. Come on United!

I don't rate Weghorst at all but this is not Barcelona, they will not be able to play around his pressing so easily.

Otherwise its our strongest team and you'd hope more than enough for Newcastle.

Wout’s inclusion is solely down to his work off the ball which is great. Just on the ball he’s shite.

    Happy with the team.

Personally doesn't bother me. UCL and EPL are what matters. The rest is noise. But i enjoy any game where both sides are taking it seriously. If players need it as a pychological boost then that's good too.

Must be fecking mad if you think this isn’t a huge game

First possible trophy in 5 years under a new manager to boot. Huge game this there’s no 2 ways about it.

I’m surprised people are surprised Weghorst is starting.

We need to press their CBs and GK and his workrate is phenomenal. With Rashford not 100% and no Martial who else could you expect to replicate this?

so I'm getting the wheel of death at NOW Tv... looks like it's 5Live for me (and highlights later if we win)

Sancho in 10 didn’t work last game.

Also, I think ETH wants Rashford playing from the left to get at Trippier. Will stop Tripper going forward and also isolate him defensively.

You’re the one making predictions/declarative statements though? This makes no sense

He's good at tracking back and winning the ball and we're lethal in transition, so his inclusion makes sense
