Are you trying to destroy the lower leagues with your inflammatory comment? Obviously you'd prefer a super league with Real vs United every week...

    White text

    :lol::lol: nice white text.

Speaking as someone born and bred in Bury, my local team no longer exists so clearly the football league aren't that bothered :(

To benefit the lower leagues. There's a thread about this very question

Its very peculiar that they dont afford some extraordinary circumstance section of the rulebook that would allow some games to be televised. The homecoming of Ronaldo is more than obviously a huge event in the league.

Am watching the build up to the game on the app. Check it out. They have the interview as well with Ronnie and Wes Brown.

I would have played this team:

    DDG
    AWB, Varane, Maguire, Shaw
    Lindelof, Pogba
    Bruno
    Greenwood CR7 Sancho

Even not knowing about Ronaldo this game not being on TV is strange

Utd v Newcastle games are always on TV as it's a classic PL fixture

And what would be the benefit?
Do they broadcast a championship or a league 1 game at that time?
To go to the stadium to watch a lower league team?

It doesn't work that way. If you can't watch a match at home people will probably invest their time in something else.

Most people use football as a distraction, so I don't think people will invest time and resources to go to a stadium to watch a team they don't actually support.

I'm watching it. It sounds like Wes Brown has two accents. The one he used when talking to Ronaldo sounds different than the way he's talking now. Wtf.

A lot of people support a big team and a lower league team. You would be surprised how many.

I'm getting a bit giddy, I must admit.

Pretty exciting - Ronaldo's back (seems a bit surreal still).

I have a tiny hope that this place won't go into absolute meltdown if a) he doesn't start, b) doesn't score c)...whatever else you can think of.

On soccer streams stick with Weakspell, Givemeredditstreams and Hockeynews for streams as they're the most reliable. If they go down (one or twice a game) then just refresh and it'll again right away.
It's the streamer's first real test

Can someone please send me a stream in PM.

My usual go to has been a little on/off recently and I want to make sure I've got a good one in case.

You mean like Man Utd and then a low team
    Like Arsenal?
 I know plenty of United/Liverpool fans who go and watch Barrow as well. Although to be fair I think a lot who support lower teams would still go and support them no matter what. They like the matchday experience. A big game being on TV won't change that. That is what the record button is for.

He's got his formal 'broadcasting' accent on today!

Makes my blood boil what happened to the Shakers. I've got some great memories of watching Bury back in the day when they had players like Greg Farrell, Bobby Collins, and George Jones. It was one of the few grounds that you could walk around to the opposite end at half-time. Good pies too.
