    Because Bailly was a disaster. We were hoping McT could do a decent enough job to get through. He couldnt . Bailly had to come off. Thats how fecking bad he was.

    I'm guessinng it's because he wants us to pass out from the back better, but there's no justification for Mctominay being near a PL team, let alone our starting line up, let alone being played out of position when the whole team's confidence is shot to pieces.

    Pogba's the only one who looks like he hasn't completely lost his head, so I would give him some leeway, except it's his childish acting up that's helped put the club in this position in the first place.

    Ashley Young has also reached new levels of bad. Every time the ball comes to him or near him something stupid happens.

    I do wonder what has supposedly happened from our defence being perhaps 2nd best in the league last year, to now, the same players being so poor we nee to really jam holding mids in round them.

    I dare say the truth is that the management has just gone, meaning every player is underpar, bar Shaw, who is playing better than we expected - as our expectations are zero of him.

    I'm not sure. Everyone is different. Don't underestimate what this could do to a inexperienced guy who's clearly struggling and a little out of his depth. He might be handling it fine, of course, but it's not ideal circumstances.

    Think it's less the expectations and more that he has become an easy scapegoat because he hasn't kept his head down unlike the others. And of course he's Mourinho's primary antagonist so that puts him directly in the firing line for some.
