Impressive that Martial has scored both home and away against Chelsea and City this season
All that tells me is that referees make more decisions against us incorrectly
That’s about as clear and obvious as they come though, that’s the pointAccording to Lee Dixon, VAR can only intervene if the ref has made a clear and obvious error.
he is almost as funny as mike summerbee when he complained that City only lost to a world-class goal (Rooney's bicycle kick)There’s literally no point in him being on TV. He wouldn’t give United any credit on match of the day and asking him to give his opinion on the derby is a fecking waste of time.
He was asked about Grealish going to United the other week and said he shouldn’t go to United.
He’s fecking obsessed.
Worth a yellow if it gets VAR to look at it. My view is ref gave yellow to Fred before VAR could look at it and they were never going to overrule Mike Dean as they stick together. It's such a broken system. The ref has booked 2 of theirs for dissent... our players are smart not to give him the chance to appear neutral on it.
Martial the first player to score both home and away vs City since Ronaldo in 06/07
How Richards is getting employed as a pundit is a bigger question. Although Redknapp has been getting away with it for years so I suppose it's not a surprise.Half time pundits are poor. Ok the Bruno foul was soft but he’s come from the back of him and caught him. Soft but is a foul.
How Richards can sit there and say Fred is theatrical. He got kicked in the shin. Blatant penalty. VAR can be so strange at time.
This. Referees who get overruled by VAR receive bad grades and as a result can lose bonuses too. I am not inventing it, a french ref said it on a radio station
Seems like I was wrong so far and happy to admit. Although I think Bruno has played a huge role in making this work imo.I think it was the best formation and we seem to be containing City and creating a few chances ourselves. Rather be pragmatic about our approach and it's working so far.
Martial has skills more than Lingard has beans. If only he could give a feck more often.
That shot from Sterling? Routing stuff
Plenty of times they've given penalties for flopping this season.
What did he say?I don't trust Ole's teamtalk.
why don't they spend a day at a cricket Test match to see how the fecking thing should work? That's a flawed system. The referees and VAR should be working together as one unit to accurately and fairly referee a match. Refs and VAR should not be seen as opposing sides.
Other leagues seem to manage fine on the whole. I'm on board the conspiracy theory that the English refs want it to fail. For me, the problem is allowing VAR to decide whether the ref's error was clear and obvious enough to overrule it.
I thought the whole idea of VAR was to remove human influence as much as possible, not add to it by giving VAR a choice.
In general i mean. We always look bad after first halfWhat did he say?
If thinking Fred dived when actually there is clear contact is not a "clear and obvious error" then I don't know what is.
If Mike Dean had not booked Fred, they could have said that maybe he saw the contact but felt there wasn't enough contact. You can't book someone for diving because there wasn't enough contact.
